This was our set at Another Fine Fest, Lake District on the Sunday at the Rose & Crown Beer Garden.

The sun was Shining and everyone was chilling at the start, by the end we had them up and dancing.

Bringing the heat once again – Brighton’s flaming hot funk crew Jalapeno Records team up with South Coast Beats specialists Soul Casserole to bring you the second edition of The Jalapeno Bop with Monophonics, Izo FitzRoy and Boca 45.

The inaugural event at The Old Market, Brighton was 100% sold out and with this line-up the summer bop looks certain to follow in its footsteps.

San Francisco’s incredible Monophonics will be the headline live act - flying in from the US for this special show. Two albums deep and this west coast psychedelic soul band have built a cult following that allows them to play to massive audiences across Europe.

Opening up live proceedings will be Jalapeno’s blues and gospel star Izo FitzRoy. Her incredible debut album Skyline has won her fans across the globe and this will be a chance for you to hear new material from her forthcoming second album.

And closing things down will be one of the finest DJ’s we have ever seen – Bristol’s Boca 45. Never one to be pigeonholed on his sound only two things will be true. He will only be playing 45’s and he is sure to be as funky as hell.

Mr No Hands says: "Not sure where to start, I decided to get really drunk and plough through the blogs until I found something sultry, silly and so god damn seductive that everything else could revolve around it.

I don't remember what that track even was, nor much else about that evening, but it didn’t matter. After hours of searching high and down-right-low for frequencies that resonated with me in my drunken stupor, I somehow managed to curate a vibey set of licks.

Like Lady Tigra and Bunny D, you know I like the boom. But this one’s a subtle blend, yes it is. There’s something about these songs. Simple. Lovely. Things. Especially at 4am. I hope they resonate with you too.

Over the last 16 years, Lebrosk has been rocking Amsterdam boat parties, UK festivals, cool funky bars and various clubs all over Europe. His music style spans funk, soul, house, breaks and everything in between! 

You can catch him playing at his monthly London residency for the 'Street Records' bar chain where he's had a residency for over 11 years and keep an eye out for his Saturday afternoon vinyl session dates playing at Blue Collar in Reading. 

With over half a decade reviewing tunes for Mixmag under his belt, Lebrosk has got a keen ear for the latest big tracks whilst also knocking out in his own mixtapes, remixes and edits here on his Soundcloud page.
