He mostly performs "50's Rock 'n' Roll", Blues and Instrumentals tunes as well his own compositions.
Joanatan has got his own way to perform his music, getting into heart of each song interpreting it from the inside out.
His love for the American Roots music becomes evident, he shows a awesome talent that may never be fully exhausted. He writes sensitive music and performs with poignancy and ease.
Joanatan, draws from the greats of the 50’s and 60’s such as Elvis Presley, Bill Haley, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Gene Vincent, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Knox, Ritchie Valens, Carl Perkins, Tommy Sands, Everly Brothers, Ricky Nelson, Bobby Darin, Rudy "Tutti" Grayzell, Johnny Kidd and The Pirates, Billy Fury, Johnny Burnette Trio, The Ventures and The Shadows and fuses them with B-movies, Jazz and Blues.

For the past twenty years, Joanatan Richard has worked as a performer, recording artist and composer, as well one of the pioneers of blues and "rock style of the 50s and 60s" made in northeastern Brazil.
He has been involved in composing and performing music for various artists and studio album projects.
Worked as a side man for a number of bands, it include freelance work and gigs, backing Brasilian and american bluesmen too.
He organized his band (The Bluz) in 1999, and after a few years playing in great Festivals of Blues and Rock and in nightclubs, Joanatan felt it's time to go solo.

Nos últimos vinte anos, Joanatan trabalhou como performer, cantor e compositor, assim como um dos pioneiros do blues e de "rock dos anos 50 e 60" feitos no Nordeste do Brasil.
Ele esteve envolvido em compor e executar a música para vários artistas e projetos álbum de estúdio.
Trabalhou como um homem do lado de uma série de bandas, que incluem trabalho freelance e shows, apoiando bluesmen brasileiros e americanos também.
Ele organizou sua banda (The Bluz) em 1999, e depois de alguns anos tocando em grandes festivais de blues e rock e em casas noturnas, Joanatan senti que é hora de ir sozinho.
