We’re extremely proud to present “Lost”, the third full-length venture from Anders Trentemøller.

“Lost”, much like its predecessor “Into the Great Wide Yonder” (2010), serves not only as a logical continuation of his work, but also as yet another fuck-you to whatever genre you thought you had him boxed into. The Trentemøller sound is definitely left intact, yet as a whole it really doesn’t sound like anything he’s ever produced before. Few artists seem to possess that special talent of leaving the audience just as baffled as they are satisfied, but hey, that’s what’s great about Anders. He may alienate a few heads along the way, but it wouldn’t be interesting for him if he didn’t.

“Lost” boasts a dozen tracks with something of interest for anyone who’s ever been a fan of the Copenhagen based producer. You can’t really compare it to “The Last Resort”, but the club elements are there. It definitely isn’t “Into the Great Wide Yonder” either, even if it’s equally guitar driven. It’s as original as it is classic, mixing the tried and tested with all sorts of sonic surprises. And making it look easy in the process.

Differing from “Into The Great Wide Yonder”, which was a rather bold cinematic landscape, “Lost” is definitely a far more streamlined affair and way more “song structured”. It’s the kind of record one can only produce after endless months of studio isolation. Just where his creativity flourishes best.

That said Trentemøller has also found a new home – and it’s on stage with a band. “Lost” relays this epiphany in pitch perfect circumstances, finally merging the extrovert and introvert qualities the man has in his command.

Of course, none of his productions would be complete without those unique guest appearances, spanning a multitude of musical categories. They’re all given equal treatment when they’re dropped bang center into the middle of Trentemøller's very own musical universe, having to harness the potential of their talent on Trentemøller’s terms. It certainly isn’t that many folks who are capable of convincing Jonny Pierce (The Drums) or Sune Wagner (The Raveonettes) to appear on a club track and even fewer who are able to pull it off. Anders is in the top percentile of that lot. 

”I think it’s fun to take people out of their own musical comfort zone” he exclaimed to VICE earlier in the year when explaining his seemingly erratic choices. ”Actually, when I begun writing the songs, I had their voices in my mind all along. They just didn’t know it.”

Aside from Sune and Jonny, Trentemøller has managed to bring on board a whole rake of fantastic peers, personal influences and sprouting talent. Co-conspirators such as Kazu Makino (Blonde Redhead), Jana Hunter (Lower Dens), Marie Fisker, Ghost Society and none other than the legendary slow-core pioneers Low are all to be found on the record.

That trademark haunting feeling that defined both ”The Last Resort” and ”Into the Great Wide Yonder” hasn’t been neglected on “Lost”. It’s just been redefined and made way more ferocious, the signature glitchy bass being replaced by sub woofer frequencies far more pounding. Almost punk rock. Instantly conjuring up thoughts of the more droning SUICIDE tracks or even contemporaries like The Soft Moon.

”Lost” documents an artist really hitting his stride. An intricate musical tapestry woven over countless sleepless nights in his Copenhagen studio. Nights invested in instrument experimentation and trashed analog consoles.

You can without a shadow of doubt call this release a genuine study in the art of attention to detail. No matter how many times you press play on this one you’re going to find something you missed the previous time around. Something that suddenly shines a whole new light on what you’re listening to.

Is this the record you expected from Trentemøller? No.

But would it be a Trentemøller record if you got what you expected? I doubt it.

"Rose's fourth EP, "A Different Story", is - as the name suggests - diferent than the previous ones. With the opening track "Waited for you" the listener gets flashbacks to the 80ies, due to an euphoric synth line and a classic baseline. The second track featuring Heath Ledger’s opinion on journalist criticising Broke Back Mountain, immediately pulls you in. Its story with a trancey syntline and the techno beat "tension" is a true floor filler. The last track - again - totally differs from the other ones, with a groovy baseline. The aggressive base melody on top makes it a great energy booster to be danced upon all night long.

For Lecomte de Brégeot everything started with the raves when he was a teenager in the late 90’s eartly 00’s. Techno and free parties were a revelation.

All the emotions and feeling provided by music and the ferveur that he encountered during those big gatherings led him to become a DJ and to host parties. Then he went on to compose his own music with the help of his massive keyboards collection. 

In 2015 he performs at the Paris Techno Parade and in 2016 he releases his first EP There was a day followed by two other EP’s Pretty Ashes and Fragment.

His music is a subtle mix of techno, new wave and EBM, that still has a strong human touch to it, thanks to the use of intense and deep vocals and 
overpowering melodies.


His sound esthetic is reminiscent of the 80’s yet it feels and sounds very modern. The coldness of the electronic beats is blended with nostalgic and melancholic harmonies, giving his music great depths. 
Lecomte de Brégeot’s productions are full of warmth and humanity and he also enjoys producing for other artists. He has been collaborating for a few years with French soul singer Elle Valenci.

His singular musical identity gives him a special place in the French electronic landscape and allowed him to build an international career. As a producer he enjoys performing live his own productions and he has been able to do so in Russia, in Western and Eastern Europe, in Turkey, in South America and in the United States.

The US audience fell for him thanks to his collaboration with Canadian producer and performer Allie X and Violet Chachki, dragqueen extraordinaire, winner of  Rupaul’s Drag race in 2015, on the song Mistress Violet, an hypnotic synthpop gem. In 2022 he collaborates once again with Chachki on the official and acclaimed remix of Visage’s iconic Fade to Grey.

Elegant and visual, Lecomte de Brégeot’s music has naturally interested the fashion and luxury world. 
He has been collaborating with prestigious  and international brands such as Nina Ricci, Giorgio Armani, Nars and Vogue, who all reached out to him for music on their promotional ads. 
Also, Yves Saint Laurent and Lecomte de Brégeot have been in a partnership that has been going on for over four years. 

His single Paris 1985 was also chosen to be the soundtrack for the Balenciaga video campaign in June 2022 which features supermodel Bella Hadid.
He also composes original music material to accompany fashion shows, as was the case during Sao Paulo Fashion Week in 2021 and 2022, and for Roberto Cavalli during Milan Fashion Week in 2022.

The very cinematographic atmosphere of his productions also allowed him to appear on the soundtrack of two very noticed series, in France and abroad: Mytho, an original series of Arte, and the American blockbuster Emily in Paris.

In 2022, the artist who grew up in the underground world, entered a partnership with Universal Music Publishing to provide him with the best possible support in the export of his music.

One thing is certain, Lecomte de Brégeot is gradually carving out a stature as one prince of French electro in the world, with new projects to follow...
