Inkline has been making all types of waves over the last year, with well recieved releases across many respected platforms and and a tonne of high level radio support. This track entitled 'Hideout' showcases everything Inkline is about, with his uniquely techy approach to bass music coming into play. We hear crispy bass tones take the lead and sharp drum patterns smash vibrant rhythms together behind along with a high end synth instrument adding a finesse layer of texture.

Stanton Warriors - About Your Love (Foundry Remix)

Some years ago I read in an interview with Man Parrish that the "Dub" of his seminal 1984 track "Boogie Down Bronx' was there for DJs/Producers to make their own version. It's taken me a while to get round to it, but here is my effort.
I had the honour 20 years ago to remix another timeless classic of Manny's "Hip Hop Be Bop" which was first released on Breakin' Records as "Hip Hop Re Bop", which originally was meant to include a remix by Aphex Twin but sadly this did not come to pass.
Anyway I hope you like it.

For this 58th Premiere of 2020, we have a track by the Electro DJ/Producer from Louisiana (USA) Lectr0 c0d_E from the upcoming EP "c0d_E Violation" [WOOD048] on the Canadian Label : Woodwork Recordings.

Woodwork Recordings is a Canadian record label that fuses multiple styles of electronic music, with branches in techno, electro, house, drum n bass, ambient, dub, hip hop and synthwave... Woodwork emerged in the late 1990s, releasing early incarnations of tech house on 12” vinyl EPs with full-length live performance mixes on cassette... after vanishing for a 15 year hiatus, the label rekindled its past and began a second run, branching off into wider sonic territory... deliberately free of any singular definable sound, Woodwork is committed simply to craft, substance, and musical diversity...

The track we chose to premiere is entitled ‘c0d_E Violation’ and it will be available from April 4, 2020 in digital here :

Lectr0 c0d_E drops a hefty 6-track debut on Woodwork, with a collection of boomy electro beats. Each track builds with layers of rhythm and odd effects pushed by relentless snares and 808 kick bass that fills the mix.

The main track, 'c0d_E Violation' comes in three parts. The opening version presents a non-stop beat that opens up into pads and atmospheres toward its final measures.

'Oblivion' hits a more jackin' stride with its punchy kick pattern. Ever present are the odd little voices in the background, joined by strange synth hits that revolve around an ambiguous tonal center.

'c0d_E Violation - Mind Control' takes another tour through Lectr0 c0d_E's dirty bass snare combo, this time subjecting us to a hypnotic series of heavy synth fx layers, again hovering over beats that just refuse to quit.

'XSTATIK' provides a sonic interlude with more spacious beats and background fx textures. The vibe on this one rides low with occasional breakdowns, but maintains the momentum and mesmerizing flow of the EP.

'Zone 6' plays like a menacing remix / mashup of the other elements of the release. The beats are slower, joined by a few recognizable sounds from the other tracks. Again some of the major themes are saved until the end of the tune, where we are subject to some acid synths and repetitive bleeps until we are just cut off and left hanging.

'c0d_E Violation - Overcharged' busts out like the cleanup crew, wiping the slate with a clean version of Lectr0 c0d_E's booming breaks including some refreshing variations. The effect layers in the EP closer build and layer hypnotically, cementing the overall feel of this collection.
