For mix #081, we welcome all round good guy, L-Pad.

L-Pad is a producer and DJ originally from Carlisle, and now based in Liverpool. He has been DJing for around 10 years and is a resident DJ for Carlisle event Off Peak (@Offpeakevents). Over the past 2 years, he has been delving into production and sound experimentation, aiming to create his own twist on the Electro sound. 

He draws inspiration from old school Detroit and early two-thousands European Electro, and bridges the gap between Techno and Electro by including elements associated with more modern styles of the genres. Distorted drums, funky acid bass grooves and tripped out dubby delays create dark, gritty and strange sci-fi sounds. 

This mix features a range of styles and genres that inspire L-Pad’s sound, from seventies Krautrock to modern IDM and beyond.
