Since this horrendous mess began I have been keeping in touch with Lectromagnetique, our friend and valued member of this community. We have chatted several times a day about what is going on in his country - Ukraine.

Like his fellow citizens he is full of determination and frankly keeping a cool head where I am sure I would be breaking down.

Many of you will know his debut was on Bass Agenda Recordings back in 2015, and has released others on the label and elsewhere since.

He remains passionate about music, of course. And so, as a one off, Bass Agenda Recordings is making a brief appearance from its hiatus to release this EP.

Two killer tracks of dark, powerful Electro, in the style we have come to know, love , and expect from him.

This is about keeping on keeping on, not stopping, not giving the enemy the satisfaction of pausing passions, and doing what we in this community do best - create to cope and help others get through.

All money from the release will go to Ivan and his family. The label will make nothing from this.

Speculation about the possibility of inhabited worlds beyond Earth dates back to antiquity. With this new EP long time Bass Agenda Recordings family member Lectromagnetique tries to figure out the Origin of some of these worlds through two audio signals, intercepted somewhere in a sound lab in Chornobyl.

Built on relentless, futuristic grooves and precision-tooled synthesis, this track pulses like the engine of a spacecraft locked on course through deep space. Its tightly wound bassline propels the track forward like thrusters firing into the void, while layers of mechanical textures spark and twist like circuitry alive with purpose.

The sonic journey unfolds like a mission log from a ship en route to an unknown frontier — calculated, unyielding, and focused. Every element is part of a greater system, from the clanking rhythms to the warping atmospheric pads, evoking the interior of a high-tech vessel navigating gravitational rifts and cosmic debris. Setting the tone for the sound of things to come, Hydraulic Performer is a raw slice of bass heavy electro. 

On the flip side Radioactive Man retains the heavyweight flavour of the original whilst stamping his own unique sonic trademark. The result is pure dance floor damage. 

Device One rounds out the EP, a wonky, jacking cut with a seriously infectious groove.

This release is the first in a series of EP's on the newly formed Decade Box imprint. The launch marks the end of one journey and the start of another. Standby for raw electronics from a space in time…..
