A story of two strangers pretending to be friends.

Why does the world feel like it’s calling my bluff?
I’m searching for a groove, a soulful, sexy hit,
But all I find are echoes of the dreams I quit.
I’m tangled in the static of a broken radio,
Trying to tune into a frequency I’ll never know.
The rain tapped on the window, a Morse code of regret,
Spelling out the words I’m too afraid to forget.
you said we were a masterpiece, but the colors ran dry,
Now I’m left with a canvas of a fractured goodbye.
why am I not loved, not famous, not enough?

The radio’s still playing, but the static’s finally clear,
And the song that’s coming through is the one I need to hear.
Why am I not loved? Maybe I always was.
Why am I not famous? Maybe fame’s just a buzz.
No more chasing shadows, no more static to find,
Just the rhythm of my heartbeat, one step at a time.

In rehab. In silence. In court. In my kids’ bedroom.

This version is for the ones who’ve clawed their way out.
Who had to stop trying to fix everyone else
just to remember how to love themselves.

This is for you if you’ve ever begged God for peace,
courage to let go,
and wisdom to stop holding pain that doesn’t belong to you.

I built this song from prayer, relapse, grief, and healing.
I speak it over myself every day.

This is my version of serenity.
