Hailing from a small town in the South of the Netherlands and with releases on Lane 8 his label This Never Happened, Renze is an up-and-coming name to watch for. Starting to produce professionally at the age of 17, he’s no newcomer to the music industry. Renze’s career as a Producer first began when he started working behind the scenes for several top global EDM acts.

He honed his craft out of the spotlight for many years before making the ambitious jump to becoming a solo artist this year. Now 24, Renze has already accomplished much more than the average young musician. His unique sound combines electronic instruments and organic beats that resonate over deep bass with his own self-written, self-sung vocals. Renze’s raw talent is undeniable and his musical future is looking very bright.

Tassone, who hails from Sydney, Australia, makes her debut on Soul Deep with a four-pack of impressive musical masterpieces.  The Liquid journey kicks off with the title track, “First Light,” which is very fitting since this is the first track she’s offering on Soul Deep.  The track begins with a very soothing introduction, featuring chirping piano key riffs, sweet Rhodes chords, and light-ticking hi-hats.  When the drop hits the snappy drums are introduced, which create the perfect synergy with the keys and the edgy bassline.  Also near the drop, Tassone unleashes some melancholic horn riffs that help take the track to new heights.  If you’re a fan of Liquid Drum & Bass, you’re going to love this track.  Rounding out the EP, she continues to impress with her create undeniable Jazzy grooves!  From the big stand-up bass riffs of “Jazz Club,” to the soaring melodies of “You Are the Reason,” and the Jazz-infused Al Pack remix of “Montevideo,” the EP provides the perfect blend of deepness, emotions, and jazzy grooves to keep the dancefloor electric with energy.  Another stand-out selection on the EP is the heartfelt vocals of Amy Kisnorbo on “You Are the Reason.”  Her vocals truly fit the melodies like a glove.  It was a bonus to add the remix from Soul Deep legend, Al Pack, who delivers a delightful jazzy rendition of “Montevideo.”  If you’re a fan of Al Pack’s sound then you won’t want to miss this epic remix. The Bristol-based producer returns to Soul Deep with another finely crafted group of musical compositions that take the listeners back to the golden era of Drum & Bass.  Each track has the depth, ethereal soundscapes, and rolling 808-style basslines that we loved in the late 90’s.  Tim’s love of this sound shines through in his productions, elevating the style to new heights with his highly refined ear for sound.  With previous releases on Soul Deep, Jazzsticks, Spearhead, Soul Brothers, Phuzion Digital, Influenza, and others, Tim has created a stunning catalog of inspiring musical creations.  

The Pure Immersion EP is another example of Tim’s superior musical production abilities.  The EP kicks off with the title track, “Pure Immersion,” which features rolling drums, lush Rhodes chords, smooth horn samples, perfect vocals, and a serene bassline that glides along with the melody.  “Wavestate,” is up next and is highlighted by rolling Amen drums, intelligent lead sounds, lush pads, swirling efx, and a rolling 808 bassline that adds the icing to the cake.  “Simulated Sunrise,” rounds out the EP in style with its echoing piano sounds, filtered pads, emotional strings, snapping drums, ticking percussion, and bouncy 808 bassline.  Overall, Tim Cant provides a master-class on producing the updated and modern late 90’s sound that we love!  Give it a listen and immerse yourself in the musical lushness!
