For our first release of 2021 we bring you the sounds of Bristol-based Lurch. Jamie Harris has been producing drum & bass since 2012, after spending his earlier days obsessed with playing different musical instruments. His late entry into the world of raving and dance music provides a unique take on the genre, focusing more on stringed instruments and lo-fi production as opposed to many other 'modern' sounding producers in the scene.

His presence has earned releases on many different labels, including Intrigue, Med School, Flexout, Soul Deep, Celsius and Flight Pattern to name only a handful. He has received continuous support from LTJ Bukem, Bailey, Fabio, Random Movement, Intrigue head honcho Ben Soundscape and many many others, in recognition of his soulful and instrument based sound.

His varied and musically orientated 'Sun It May Rise' EP is but the latest showcase of Lurch's skill in the d&b genre, and sits proudly in the Intrigue catalogue with more to follow in the future.

The techy chords set the backdrop for the tune, while the drums snap away, the bassline rolls along, and the vocals drift effortlessly through the soundscape. Tony Snook aka Avalon Rays comes by way of Southampton, United Kingdom and has been around the music for quite some time. Before he got into drum 'n bass, he played bass guitar for a number of years. 

Once transitioning into a drum 'n bass producer, Tony took immediate impact, being signed to the likes of Soul Deep Recordings, Four Corners Music, Offworld Recordings, ZTM Recordings, Soulflex Digital, and Complex Records. 

His smooth and atmospheric style is also supported by the likes of  LTJ Bukem, Ray Keith, Dexcell, and London Elektricity. He also produces under the guise, A.R.K.E.D. with Korruptdata.
