House don Markus Homm drops a three tracker on Sublease, following up from his 2023 appearance on Steve Bug’s label for the deeper side of house.  

Homm adds to his considerable back catalogue with Hey You, showcasing his deep skills for creating atmospheric house music.  

The title track is a deep roller full of signature elements, grooving drum programming, cut up, soulful vocals, atmospheric pads and a thick, present bass.   

Rhythmic Journey is up next, lifting the energy to more insistent pace, but keeping things to minimum to allow the track to create its own space.   

Six closes out this release - a fully dubbed out take on house which allows the sub bass to dominate on top of an irresistible groove.

The GRAMMY-nominated Nic Fanciulli unites with vocalist and songwriter Marc E. Bassy for ‘Hold On’ on Defected. We loved the electronic vibe of tracks like this and Chicken Lips - He Not In, it was this fresh electro house sound that inspired us to start making our own music as we wanted more of it for our own DJ sets! Our music tastes always seem to go in round cycles, and we’ve been enjoying this vibe again lately, so we made Wannabe. Nightcode was born during a blackout in a neon-drenched city, when Pan-Pot, deep in a late-night modular synth session, accidentally intercepted a signal from a defunct satellite looping alien rave transmissions. As the data warped their machines, every dial and fader moved on its own, channeling a hypnotic rhythm no human had ever programmed. The storm outside cracked in sync with the beat, and the studio lights pulsed like they were under the track's spell. Desperate to capture it before it vanished, they recorded the entire session through a toaster, a walkman, and sheer panic. By dawn, the signal was gone-but Nightcode lived, encoded with a frequency not even they fully understood.

Few DJs have made such a dramatic impact on the underground house and techno scene over the last two years as Hot Creations label owner Lee Foss. Described by DJ Mag as “one of the most talented new forces in modern dance music today” and by fellow future house innovators Art Department as their favourite producer, Lee has quickly catapulted himself into dance music’s collective consciousness.
