Born Lee Gasto, LeeGasto grew up in South Ozone Park, a neighborhood of Queens, which is a borough of New York City. It is a tough neighborhood, plagued by gang violence; it is also the birthplace of many rappers, including LL Cool J (1968–) LostBoyz and the female trio Salt N' Pepa. LeeGasto was surrounded by violence from the day he was born.
