Like many, Alain’s grandparents & parents fled Cuba to provide a better life and opportunities for the family. Understanding their sacrifices, the hardships they endured and the lessons learned by this plays a huge factor on Alain’s philosophy in life: One has to do whatever it takes for happiness, freedom and to be unequivocally oneself. From a young age studying Taekwondo, His Sabumnim; Guillermo Mosquera, would play mixes while they trained. Alain noticed how he would get lost in the music. When he asked his coach what this music was, he said “It’s House Music!” and that was it. Every step since then Alain's passion and focus has been to share music with loved ones and fellow music enthusiasts, and show gratitude for the sacrifices made by his family & the support of music which has been and continues to be a guiding light.

Mastering Requirements:

- Preferably a WAV file, 24bit 44.1Khz is perfect. NO MP3s!

- The master channel MUST be kept clear, all effects, EQ, compression, limiting and any other processes MUST be disabled.

- Headroom is important when mastering, if possible bounce the song at either -4 or -6dB, don't worry, the master you get back will be loud again.

Bass player in Paddy McAloon of Prefab Sprouts first real band 'AVALON' (er.... that is his first band to have a drummer AND a P.A.) although when he joined we were called 'CAUGHT IN THE ACT' so its not really true that 'AVALON' was his first anything!! Gawd! Aint life complicated? This name change occured after a handful of gigs. 'CAUGHT IN THE ACT' were Tony Coyle, John the drummer, Leo McCabe, Paddy, and me. All made contributions of a greater/lesser extent to songwriting. 10 months together and then Tony, Paddy and Leo were all gone and new talents came in. Pete Archbold and Paul Dean made us a twin lead guitar band for a time and Steve Daggett replaced PMc as lead singer, songwriter. He played a mean flying 'V' guitar. This Avalon Mk 2 lasted a year. Then I went back to collecting stamps and saving empty milk cartons. (anyone got a spare 1856 British Guiana One-Cent Magenta I could have? ps if u want to collect milk cartons make sure u wash em thoroughly before cluttering the place up with em)
