You put on some music to set the scene for rising temperatures under the sheets…

The set you put on suddenly brings you out of rhythm, but getting up to skip the track is no longer an option.

We have been scouting for the perfect Sunday morning sets for quite a while already and while "Eigentlich heissen wir Klaus" & "Mattmosphere" have been steady suppliers of them for us, we also developed the idea of asking befriended artists to record one hour of music, to which they like to stay in bed with a loved one.

It's an intimate ask, but most of them said yes.

For Cuddle Cast #31 we asked @dlozada-1 from Costa Rica to record a set for us and she created a journey through organic downtempo, ambient bass, and tropical slow house. With long transitions and tender layering, she weaves moods that invite deep feeling, connection, and a soft return to love.

❖ „Yes so what can I say; It’s been my birthday weekend and I spontaniously went to Confusius Festival where I dove in so deeply, that I played 15 hours at different stages having a beautiful time.

Sonata No. 7 (Sonata of the Pyramids), Allegro – Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, 1909 is a remarkable synthesis of sound and symbol. Known for his unique fusion of music, painting, and metaphysical thought, Čiurlionis approached composition not merely as a craft but as a form of cosmic inquiry. The Allegro movement of this sonata is particularly striking—a dynamic and enigmatic meditation that blurs the lines between architecture and music, myth and memory, matter and spirit.

The piece opens with a sense of purposeful ascent, as if the music itself were rising from the sands, echoing the geometry and silent grandeur of the pyramids. Its motifs are not ornamental—they are elemental. With each phrase, Čiurlionis chisels sound like stone, layering rhythms and harmonies that feel less performed than revealed. There’s an ancient dignity to the movement, a sense that it listens inwardly even as it moves forward, as if guided by an invisible compass tuned to celestial alignment.

Yet this is not a historical pastiche or a romantic fantasy. Instead, the Allegro explores the psychological and symbolic weight of the pyramid: a structure that embodies human aspiration toward the eternal. In this sonata, the pyramid becomes less a monument and more a metaphor—of stillness in motion, of order within chaos, of ascent through discipline. Čiurlionis’s music doesn’t attempt to narrate the myths of Egypt; rather, it channels the spiritual awe those monuments provoke.

As the movement unfolds, themes emerge and vanish like shifting desert winds, echoing the impermanence of life against the illusion of permanence. There’s something deeply introspective here—a quiet invitation to contemplate not just history, but our own interior architecture. What pyramids have we built within ourselves? What forgotten echoes still hum within the chambers of the soul?

In Sonata of the Pyramids, Čiurlionis offers no easy resolution. Instead, he leaves us suspended in luminous tension—a state of alert silence where thought becomes form and form dissolves into mystery. The Allegro is not just a movement of music; it is a movement of the mind, and of the spirit, toward something greater than itself.

It is a reminder that the deepest structures are not made of stone, but of sound, intention, and stillness.

This one’s a slow burner. AleAle brings a patient, textured set that doesn’t try to impress you from the start — and that’s the beauty of it. It leans into mood over momentum, gradually pulling you into a space where rhythms breathe and transitions stretch. The sound palette is warm and understated, with careful attention to detail rather than big peaks or flashy drops.

It’s the kind of set that rewards listening all the way through — not for big moments, but for how it holds together as a whole. Definitely one to put on when you’re in the mood to drift, focus, or just let time slow down a little.

...Als nun der Swinegel zu Hause ankam, sprach er zu seiner Frau: "Frau, zieh dich schnell an, du mußt mit mir aufs Feld hinaus." - "Was gibt es denn?" sagte seine Frau. "Ich habe mit dem Hasen gewettet um einen goldenen Louisdor und eine Buddel Branntwein; ich will mit ihm um die Wette laufen, und du sollst mit dabei sein." - "O mein Gott, Mann," fing nun dem Swinegel seine Frau an zu jammern, "bist du nicht recht gescheit? Hast du denn ganz den Verstand verloren? Wie kannst du mit dem Hasen um die Wette laufen wollen?" - "Halt's Maul, Weib," sagte der Swinegel, "das ist meine Sache. Misch dich nicht in Männergeschäfte! Marsch, zieh dich an und komm mit!" Was sollte Swinegels Frau machen? Sie mußte wohl folgen, sie mochte nun wollen oder nicht.Wie sie nun miteinander unterwegs waren, sprach der Swinegel zu seiner Frau: "Nun paß auf, was ich dir sagen will. Siehst du, auf dem langen Acker dort wollen wir unseren Wettlauf machen. Der Hase läuft nämlich in der einen Furche und ich in der andern, und von oben fangen wir an zu laufen. Nun hast du weiter nichts zu tun, als dich hier unten in die Furche zu stellen, und wenn der Hase auf der andern Seite ankommt, so rufst du ihm entgegen: 'Ich bin schon hier'."
Damit waren sie beim Acker angelangt. Der Swinegel wies seiner Frau den Platz an und ging nun den Acker hinauf. Als er oben ankam, war der Hase schon da. "Kann es losgehen?" sagte der Hase. "Jawohl," sagte der Swinegel. "Dann also los!" Und damit stellte sich jeder in seine Furche. Der Hase zählte: "Eins, zwei, drei!" und los ging es wie ein Sturmwind den Acker hinunter. Der Swinegel aber lief nur ungefähr drei Schritte, dann duckte er sich in die Furche und blieb ruhig sitzen.
Als nun der Hase in vollem Lauf unten am Acker ankam, rief ihm dem Swinegel seine Frau entgegen: "Ich bin schon hier!" Der Hase stutzte und verwunderte sich nicht wenig: er meinte nicht anders, als wäre es der Swinegel selbst, der ihm zurief, denn bekanntlich sieht dem Swinegel seine Frau just so aus wie ihr Mann. Der Hase aber meinte: "Das geht nicht mit rechten Dingen zu." Er rief: "Nochmal gelaufen, wieder rum!" Und fort ging er wieder wie ein Sturmwind, daß ihm die Ohren um den Kopf flogen. Dem Swinegel seine Frau aber blieb ruhig auf ihrem Platz stehen. Als nun der Hase oben ankam, rief ihm der Swinegel entgegen: "Ich bin schon hier!" Der Hase aber, ganz außer sich vor Ärger, schrie: "Noch einmal gelaufen, wieder rum!" - "Mir macht das nichts," antwortete der Swinegel, "meinetwegen, sooft du Lust hast." So lief der Hase noch dreiundsiebzigmal, und der Swinegel hielt es immer mit ihm aus. Jedesmal, wenn der Hase unten oder oben ankam, sagte der Swinegel oder seine Frau: "Ich bin schon hier."
Beim vierundsiebzigsten Male aber kam der Hase nicht mehr bis ans Ende. Mitten auf dem Acker stürzte er zur Erde, das Blut schoß ihm aus dem Halse, und er blieb tot auf dem Platze. Der Swinegel aber nahm seinen gewonnenen Louisdor und die Buddel Branntwein, rief seine Frau aus der Furche ab, und beide gingen vergnügt miteinander nach Hause: und wenn sie nicht gestorben sind, leben sie heute noch...
