Mid June sees Sek return to Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse imprint with ‘The V Track / Days Like These’, comprising two original tracks from the Greek producer. 

Madhouse has had an impressive run so far this year with material from head honcho Kerri Chandler, Till Von Sein, La Fleur and DJ Spen joining the catalogue. Here we see Apparel Music / Hudd Traxx artist Sek, step up with a fresh two-tracker in typically house-focused form for the label. 

Up first is ‘The V Track’ which focuses on classic string sequences, chopped vocal hooks, boomy sub bass tones and a raw rhythmic drive to create a classic slice of deep house for Madhouse. 

On the flip is title track ‘Days Like These’ which lays down a low-slung dropped tempo groove via loose organic rhythms and snaking bass licks alongside an amalgamation of smooth chords, vocal lines and swirling atmospherics. 

Sek’s ‘The V Track / Days Like These’ is out on Madhouse Records 17th June 2016.

Londoner Jozif provides a dreamy remix of the Vienna-based DJ and Brazilian Euro-club connoisseur Joyce Muniz. 

After breaking through with standout releases on labels like Wolf + Lamb, Mobilee & Ministry of Sound back in 2010, Jozif continues to build on the success of his sound. He has been enlisted by the cultured likes of Mobilee, Suol and Compost for remixes, and received much love from artists such as Sasha, Giles Peterson, Andrew Weatherall, and Damian Lazarus. It's his serene, carefully permeated slo-mo ambiance that's imbued his musical admirers.

For proof of his artistic ability in the booth, you only need ask anyone who has seen him play at places like Space Ibiza, Verboten New York & London’s foremost fabric and many other festivals around Asia and both Americas. At the moment, he is adding the final touches to his debut artist album and an accompanying Live show, whilst simultaneously co-writing the Kerb Staller debut album & Live show alongside cohort and production partner Matt Tolfrey.

Today's premiere, 'Daydreaming,' is the first club single from the debut album of Joyce Muniz, sure to find its way onto late night dancefloors around the world over the summer and beyond. Since going strength to strength, remixing the likes of Stereo MCs, Maya Jane Coles, Steve Bug, and Til von Sein, the album breaks new ground for Joyce, allowing her to dive deeper into songwriting. Aided by a perfect slew of vocals, the forthcoming album will live somewhere between the club and the home.

Daydreaming will be available June 27th via Exploited.

Made to choke the room Pusher is droppy but not cheesy, it's got movement and it's got sass. It's a track which will make people run to the dance floor, a track which is hedonistic and altruistic, made for the people in the name of xtc and nrg. Pusher’s vocal sample might make you re-evaluate a few of your life decisions if you listen closely so rest assured it'll make heads turn. For the DJ scared of vocals fear thee not, there is a dub if that's what you prefer to rub. For our friends in the biz, there's a radio edit and a clean edit for the children to listen to.

Dreem:Time lets you breathe, imagine your drive to the beach, your acid trip and finally your day party. There's a nice analogue warmth to this bad boy, complimented by playful percussion which keeps it light 'n' fresh. Made in Sydney’s heatwave climate, Dreem:Time was born in the hot season and you can hear it. The square wave twangs, the tube compressors are burning up, and the vocals loop to a point your eyes are rolling the back of your head, what more could you ask for!? 

We've brought in some southern friends to complete this package. Buenos Aires’ finest export Djs Pareja fill up that low end giving Pusher the sex appeal it deserves. This is a remix you can actually dance to, we're not talking the techno shake your body a little. We're talking bodies movin' and grindin' and werkin' and sweatin'. This is the remix quickly becoming the nu Motorik anthem from the basement to the festival we thank Djs Pareja for giving up some of their precious Cómeme and Turbo time to create this masterpiece. 

Label cohort McLean & Mai take a minimal spin on the Pusher. Kissing on Dj tool the M&M remix is made to layer. It's 4AM and you realised you haven't played a lyric in 3 hours. This is what you need. While young blood Horowitz is making his debut with Motorik by sprinkling his flavour of acid onto Pusher. Keep on eye on yung Horo this isn’t the last time you’ll be seeing his name with MTK in 2K17. This remix package is a family affair covering all the sub-genres of techno you know.

Francis is no stranger to those familiar with Motorik; he’s the quality control of every record, the gatekeeper of audio production, the encyclopedia of vintage synths, he’s called the wizard for a reason and it can certainly be heard here. It’s been a couple of years since Brett Johnson graced us with his sonic intentions and we missed him, so the name of this release seems appropriate. ‘Mr Johnson’s Talk’n Now’ delivers acidic squelchiness, the ‘OG Demo Mix’ jacking with a nervous driving beat and Luke Solomon’s ‘Video Games Rework’ introducing some funky disco loops. ‘BJ’s Revamped Version’ has a more profound groove, reaching into the deeper end of the acidic pool and pulling out some caustic basslines. Tying ‘Mr Johnson’s Talk’n Now’ together is a stream-of-consciousness rambling from Brett; a take on the breathy, pseudo-spiritual spoken word that plagues certain electronic music, with tongue firmly in cheek. Making up the EP is ‘Give It To Them’, pulsing and kicking with attitude and full of playful loops. It’s good to have Brett Johnson back.

Burgeoning DJ and producer Bontan makes his debut on the notorious Hot Creations label. Hotly anticipated, the release features two original cuts to fuel his rising profile.

UK based Bontan has been using title track The First Time as his secret weapon for the last six months and is now finally unleashing it. “I’ve been testing it and tweaking it play by play!’ he explains. ‘The vocal compliments the rolling bass melody and gives it a darker edge”. This a producer who fully understands how to create a track for a heaving dancefloor. Personal Question is the second cut and flips the mood entirely with a twisted vocal entwined in beeps and percussion, whilst stirring the sentiments of lost early hours.

A firm favourite in the underground scene, he has built a solid reputation with releases on Circus Recordings, 20/20 Vision, and Cajual among others.

Lee Clarke is a house freak from Milton Keynes. Lee got bit by the dj bug at the tender age of 15 and hasn't looked back.

Lee has been known to have a unique style which ranges from deep house to techno, this comes from his many influences over the years such as Mark Farina, Asad Rizvi (now Silverlining), Derrick Carter, Eddie Richards, Stacey Pullen, Terry Francis, Jimpster, Phil Weeks and DJ Heather. In 2008 Lee became a regular on Chicago House FM with his show Tahanan. The show lead to many gigs and making new friends which motivated Lee to start a promotion of the same name, which he used to reflect his personality and beliefs, Good People, Great Music. The party started in his home town Milton Keynes and has had Eddie Richards and Terry Francis play on a regular basis as well as guests such as Jordan Peak, Pete Dafeet, Roberto, Sek, Michael McLardy and Dudley Strangeways. 
After setting up Tahanan, Lee has had a hand in production. After spending years looking at the studio and not having a clue what to do with it, Dudley Strangeways reached out to Lee and taught him how it was done. This lead to the two forming a great friendship and making tracks together, with an ep on the Chicago based label Large Music.
