Le Flan de Sang are a psychedelic sleazerock band hailing from Bergen Norway and were spawned sometime after the year 2000, memories get vague… First noticed in 2009 by Einar Engelstad from Bergens Tidende who described them as a band with unique flair and classified them as a glam-prog band with hints of black metal – sounding, mildly put, different.
The music they play is about as varied as the members that form the quintet: 3 homegrown Norwegian rockers, a siren-like classical cellist and a Las-Vegas-worthy kinky Tranny with hyperactivity issues. The individual’s influences are dropped into a cauldron for a cackling witch to produce spells of music and stories about sex, religion, trolls, insanity, dystopia, zombies, drugs and just a little more sleaze for good measure.
The result is a strange and unique blend of rock/metal, ska, pop, glam, punk and chamber music with a hint of cabaret – the show is an exploration of dirty fun delivered in a noisy yet accessible format.
