Emerging from the underground with raw energy and relentless emotion, Sheltered By Ghosts is a 3-piece alternative rock band redefining what it means to feel every note. Forged in the shadows of Corpus Christi,Tx the trio blends driving rhythms, haunting melodies, and introspective lyrics into a sound that resonates with anyone who’s ever felt lost in the noise.

Formed in 2025, Sheltered By Ghosts is made up of Noe Leyba on vocals, Marco Hernandez on bass/guitar, and Frank Suarez on drums. Together, they channel influences ranging from 90s grunge to post-punk revival, creating songs that are equal parts cathartic and explosive.

Their latest EP/album, Fragments, dives deep into themes of isolation, identity, and survival—each track a confessional wrapped in distorted chords and crashing cymbals.

Sheltered By Ghosts proves that three voices are more than enough to speak volumes.

Craig began drumming in punk bands at High School in Scalloway in the Shetland Isles with Neil Preshaw and Jamie Duncan. On moving to Lerwick the mainstay of Scalloway musicians joined up with Jeff Ampleford and Gigs quickly followed Supporting the UK Subs, CUD, Love & Money,Toxik Ephex

 Wee Free Kings, The Men They Couldn't Hang and Manchester indie heroes The Chameleons who toured as 'The Sun & The Moon' to name a few. The band were interviewed for the NME & Melody Maker after gaining a fixture on the main stage of the Shetland Rock Festival, the review was less than favourable. 

In 1991 Craig moved to Aberdeen joining indie band 'Sunfish' who went on to be championed by then Northsound radio's Jim Gellatly and signed to nude records in 1995 The band 'Sunfish' changed their name to 'Geneva' and released critically acclaimed material on nude.
 In 1995 Craig moved to Newcastle to study Music at Northumbria University and formed 'Rusk' and ' Folkadelic' who made two recordings each at the BBC's pink palace before a bit of musical burn out.

 Craig returned to Scotland in 1998 and joined the DCA's music plus team in Dundee, tutoring drums in 1999. 

In 2003 Craig joined 'Spiral TV' with Ricky Mancini releasing two EP's before this band split to become a backing band for Ex.'Hurricane # 1's (vocalist) Alex Lowe (creation records) in 'Garage Flowers' Hurricane #1 were formed by RIDE guitarist Andy Bell who went on to join Oasis.  Garage Flowers didn't last longer than 3 months . 

Craig then joined a project called 'Bagosheights' who were a Dundee Punk band Gavin Steele (now drums with 121's under Nick Shane) Kenny Samson, guitar (now in Glasgow)and bassist Scott Wilkie (deceased) but again this was a short lived 6 months project. 

Craig then joined 'Peski Kings' after they lost their drummer. The Peski's released full LP 'Lucky Me, Lucky You' independently and played Glasgow ABC and Glasgow 02, festivals in Northumbria and some good support slots throughout Scotland, highlights include winning the online Rock Against Racism comp that got them support slots with 'Athlete.   The band  eventually broke-up due to various factors.  

2016 Craig joined forces with Graeme Scott with Mercurials;  a Dundee garage band which played a good few gigs and recorded a few demos at Seagate Studios in Dundee produced by Greame Watt and with Bassist Paul Mitchell. 

 Brown and Scott began talking about a re-union for the Newport Festival before the untimely death of lead singer Graeme Scott 14-05-2019.

A vinyl album of material was put together after Scott's passing called " "Back on the Outside" the songs of Greame Scott.

 Craig plays drums and percussion, sings backing vocals 

The LP was released through Assai Records in Dundee and was nominated for the SAY awards ( Scottish Album of the year) in 2020. 

Craig continues to write record and produce music at his High Street Studio in Arbroath, Scotland. 

Was recently played by Tom Morton Beatcroft Social Radio programme.
