Back in 2006, Gabe Holcombe (@lillerne), with the idea of sharing music with his close peers and friends, started a fake publishing imprint by burning mixtape/CD’s and leave them in various places around Lawrence, Kansas. Then, this solo man project moved to Chicago and developed into a tape label that reunites all varieties of music that has moved us back and forward for a while now. 

‘This mix is a small collection of label favorites and miscellaneous beautiful tracks I've encountered during the past year, as well as some forthcoming tunes on Lillerne. I've been putting out music on the label for 13 years, and I still get excited daily over the new sounds and materials I stumble upon. These are just a handful of personal discoveries via Lillerne and beyond. For episode seventeen we are joined by our new friend, Sophia Zhuravkova. Sophia recently released her debut album ‘Unseen’ with Prins Emmanuel’s new Malmö-based label Ny Agenda. ‘Unseen’ is an immersive listening experience and a delight for fans of field recordings and warm tones. Sophia also featured on Best Effort’s most recent Stay in Bed compilation, where she contributed ‘Tears Falling While Spring Comes’ – a most suitable remedy for the end of a challenging day.

Her words: “My mix is dedicated to magical forests and island seas that I have met recently. They initiated feelings of healing closeness with nature and the deep contact we can have in the warm arms of it.”

He´s djing under the alias Ahum since 1980. Somebody along the way gave him the name Klakke because he always wear that. 
In 1995 he started his first label Toothpick. 1997 he founded Kraak with some intervals active there upto 2015. 
Since 2016 he´s running Knotwilg which is the main focus. Not only as label but also as a kind of old-school mail-order.
Knotwilg records is a label that acts as a personal portal to accessible experimental music, independent of any particular movement or era. Releasing music and distributing like-minded artists in a contemporary
DIY style. Co-curating concerts, events and the annual Knotwilg festival.
