Janary 20th 2024 was a very special day for Too Slow To Disco and Dj Supermarkt, as we celebrated the 10th year of our TSTD residency at Monarch Berlin Club, and also finished the residency on the same night.

This is a live recording of 3:30 hours of peaktime smooth disco dancing turning...not so smooth.... ! 

Thanks so much to everybody who came, smiled and danced with us. We had an incredible time, but there were a few very deep emotional highlights, that brought tears in our eyes....:

"I wanna be with you everywhere"

and biggest of all and probably my highlight moment of the night:
"You get what you give" by New Radicals (some unknown edit from years ago....), that blew the roof of the place:

The night and TSTD have always been about being a dreamer, so what a beautiful statement!
A very special thanks goes out to those of you, who attended the night regularly, some since day one. I love you!

I recorded this mix 2 years ago to celebrate Notting Hill Carnival (it also happens to be the first ever mix I put out under the Leftside Wobble name). Over the last couple of years a number of producers have emerged that have captured the spirit of that original Chicago House sound from back in the day; a time when house music wore it's disco influences firmly on it's sleeve. Producers such as Neville Watson, Kink, Hard Ton, Snuff Crew &amp; Shiny Objekts (to name a few) manage to create music that's deep and raw yet still oozes funk and soul.

The 'Acid Soul' series of mixes celebrate this sound and this latest instalment features a bunch of stuff I've been playing in my peak time sets in recent months (including the Carnival after party a few weeks back). It wouldn't be a Leftside Wobble set though without a smattering of edits too, and this features some killer versions of Marvin Gaye and Steve Winwood classics as well as my own recent spin on 'Could Heaven Ever Be Like This'.

Belfast-based DJ, producer and founder of super label, Hot Digits Music, Fingerman, and South African pioneers in everything Disco, Nu-Disco & Editorial, Slow Mo Lounge, have collaborated on the next mix in the series.

Portsmouth native, Gregg Holmes, professionally known as Fingerman, is arguably the edit king in his own right. His thumb print signature can be found on works by DiscoDat, ChopShop, Chewy Records, Hot Digits Music (his own label), We Mean Disco!!, the legendary Hotbox Boogie, Wall of Fame LTD, Re- Loved & Midnight Riot. 

Kongisto had this to say about the mix: 'This collab is long-awaited, Gregg and I have been talking for months about this, to see it come to fruition is unreal. Dropping edits alongside Fingerman is a dream come true, I brought my A-game, I really hope that it's audible.
