Second edition of my special “Fingerman ♥'s” DJ mixes showcasing on individual artists, edits and record labels. This one is a homage to Greg Wilson, one of the main reasons for myself getting back into disco again over 10 years ago and inspiring me to take up editing and producing in the first place. This is probably my favourite of the Acid Soul series so far. Featuring a selection of deep, dirty groovers from recent months, with a smattering of classics for good measure too. Acid Soul 8

Over the last couple of years a number of producers have emerged that have captured the spirit of that original Chicago House sound from back in the day; a time when house music wore it's disco influences firmly on it's sleeve. Producers such as Neville Watson, Kink, Hard Ton, Snuff Crew &amp; Shiny Objekts (to name a few) manage to create music that's deep and raw yet still oozes funk and soul.

The 'Acid Soul' series of mixes celebrate this sound and this latest instalment features a bunch of stuff I've been playing in my peak time sets in recent months (including the Carnival after party a few weeks back). It wouldn't be a Leftside Wobble set though without a smattering of edits too, and this features some killer versions of Marvin Gaye and Steve Winwood classics as well as my own recent spin on 'Could Heaven Ever Be Like This'.

This is my set from <a href="http://photosynthesisfestival.com/">Photosynthesis 5</a> in 2012, kicking the Sunday beach party off slow and sweet, gentle and cool, just the way I like it. Essex-based, edit king, Chuggin Edits and South African based pioneers in everything Disco, Nu-Disco & Editorial, Slow Mo Lounge, are back with a new tape. 

'After a highly successful first run of the year featuring Mexico's Hotmood, I've been itching to work with internationals again, Gary was no exception. It was long overdue, Chuggin's got new songs and inspirations we've both been dying to get behind and share with South African ears and the world. And with the launch of his new label Slightly Transformed, this was the perfect opportunity to share  new music and some die-hard favourites. Gary is like a brother to me and arguably my biggest inspiration and mentor, I love working with him' says Kongisto about the mix and Chuggin Edits. 

Label owner, producer and DJ, Chuggin Edits, is no stranger to the depth and infectious groove of slow mo as a genre and relentlessly continues to deliver on scorching, floor banging edits, inspired by the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Loose Change, and Stephanie Mills to name a few. His production credits include Slightly Transformed(his own label), Deep Sense, FKR, Alpaca Edits and Masterworks Music (again, to name a few).

We have been Closed Paradise devotees for years - his lush vibes and productions are centered around solid grooves and seamless slips between deep house, soul and deep disco.
