What’s your name and what do you do?

I’m Kiare and I’m a digital content producer by day and a founding member of baseone.fm  + sound selector. 

What captured you to Dj? Was it a song? A moment? A show?

The love for music and just pure curiosity as to how certain songs would blend together. I didn’t buy my first controller until like 2014, but I always had the music. I was the homie who would fill up ipods or have a mix cd ready for the road trip, or take over the aux. The match has always been lit and the fire just grew as time progressed. 
What excites you about music?
I think the emotion it can evoke, if you’re sad there’s a song for that, if you’re happy there’s song for that. I also really enjoy how music can bring everyone together.

What’s the best show you’ve ever seen?

Hands down The Watch The Throne Tour in New Orleans in 2011. Greatest show I’ve ever seen. 

After quarantine who’s show are you going to see first?

That’s tough, I really wanna see Frank Ocean or Tame Impala. I really enjoy festivals, so I hope we can get back to that. I like the possibility of stumbling upon an artist that you didn’t think you would like and getting entranced in their sound while there.
