This week I’m glad to present you a set by Joachim Spieth. Former a resident of Stuttgart he is now hailing from Berlin, where he runs his label Affin as well as it’s vinyl offspin Affin LTD. Active since 1995, Joachim has become a true pillar of the electronic community, releasing on labels ranging from Kompakt to Paso Music. Releases like his Sensual EP are played by the likes of Juan Atkins, Depeche Mode’s Martin L Gore or Scuba. Just now Rebekah included his Track „Nevermind“ in her contribution to CLRs new „Mind Set“ mix & compilation series.

The Berlin-based DJ and producer Bidoben’s sound merges the spiritual with the physical. Drawing on a lifelong relationship with music, beginning with instruments in his youth and evolving into textured electronic production; his work channels rhythm, emotion, and tension in equal measure.

His brand new EP “Torment” showcases this perfectly, moving from high-impact floor tools to more introspective sonic sketches, all rooted in a desire to evoke something beyond the surface.

Inspired by nature, film and the metaphysical, Bidoben brings a cinematic, almost meditative quality to the booth; crafting sets that are immersive, driving, and emotionally resonant.

My next guest on Yax Invites is DYGA, aka Gosia Wojciechowska, a DJ and promoter from Poland. 

She is the originator and one of the founders of the pro.TONE collective. She has been on stage since 2019 and has since played in all the country's major underground clubs, and has also performed in Luxembourg, supporting artists such as DVS1, Luigi Tozzi, and Alignment.

She adheres to the principle: Techno connects people, and therefore, she eagerly collaborates with collectives and artists from Poland and Europe. In music, she values diversity, the combination of unusual sounds, depth, psychedelia, and multidimensional compositions. All these elements can be heard in her sets.

"The recorded mix reflects the emotions and behaviours that have been pouring out of me in recent months. It's strong, diverse, wild, rhythmic, and consistent. It was inspired by the people who gave me so much energy during my recent performances - for which I'm very grateful".
