Shadowed Moon[SOUTH]

Another field map theme from my personal project. This, and the two other versions of it (Day; https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/southern-kerlynzia-field ) (Night; https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/southern-kerlynzia-field-night ) all play in one of the nations in this project. The torrential rainstorm that occurs, and brings about this field map theme is the central focus of the part of the story where the characters are in this country.  [/endless rambling]

Symphony Of Heartless Certainty [RAIN]

I had a version of this song uploaded before, but I really wasn't happy with the quality of it, especially since it's one of the cornerstones (seriously, it's referenced in like, 8 different songs) of the personal project that 99% of my music on here is devoted to. I touched up the quality a bit, and changed a few things that were bothering me.

Anyway, this song serves as the credits theme for the final 'season' of my project, and begins playing during the last scene of every 'episode', then rolls on into the credits. It doubles as the theme of a very important character.

Transformation[1]x

Back when Shifting Tides and Elancia Chronicles as a whole were going to be a game, I had grand ideas about splitting it up into episodes to give me time to finish up the game in bursts. Each episode would've ended with this song back then, and began with an intro song when it was first booted up, too. Ah, well. Enjoy!

Hey guys! I'm still on the road, but I had a little downtime, and wanted to let you know that Freedom Planet's OST is available (and for those of you living under a rock, the game has released!)

Late, late in the project, as crunchtime was approaching, and things were looking pretty scary, I got stuck over and over again on one of the Final Dreadnought songs. Frustrated that I couldn't do anything helpful that night, I tried an exercise  to clear my mind. That exercise was simple – just play Pangu Lagoon 'acoustic' and sort out my thoughts and feelings so I could work! It was a stressful time, but ultimately, doing this really, really helped, and I was able to finish the soundtrack.
Like with the Fortune Night arrangement, this begins with how I play the song live, and segues into my more conventional style, beginning with (just like with Fortune Night) four hands worth of piano, and then going into drums, and more.
Both of these arrangements differ from the style I used on Freedom Planet, and more reflect the type of music I like to compose normally. It was fun to see how they would come out like this.  Both certainly came out emotional!

This is how the field map theme for Season 1 of my personal project sounds during the night.  Unlike the Celestion ( https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/symphony-of-blistered-skies ) and Dascillia ( https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/symphony-of-blistered-skies-1 ) versions, this tune pretty much just jumps straight into the main theme of the song, much like Verse's guitar rendition. I actually did this one *before* the two daytime versions, which is part of the reason for that. Moreover, since the night time theme is shared by both countries, I wanted to focus on the parts of the theme they share!

Dear SEGA, I hear that legal troubles regarding Sonic 3's original soundtrack might be part of what's holding you back from a re-release of Sonic 3 ( www.sonic3remastered.com/ More info here)
I suggest an alternative solution to trying to get the rights to use the songs that are currently providing a roadblock in greenlighting the project.

I'm finally back to a point in my life where I can focus on the 2nd album in the ECO series, Season 2 - Symphony of Heartless Certainty.  I had to go back and fix some of the writing in season 1's story, along with getting all the illustrations by a group of very talented artists inserted into it (Fortuna, Sorcerer Lance, and Cainethelongshot, as well as a special guest! Thank you all!) 

With that almost done though... it's time to finally get back to what I've been putting off for a year. This second album! Here's a taste -- the first track you'll hear. I'm pretty sure this album will have around 90 songs on it like the first album, but we'll see what the future holds! It really all depends on where the story takes the us...

"Ahh, this place. It's grown a lot since I was last here. Ten years ago, it was a simple shrine set up to the Sea Goddess, seeing as so much warm, abundant water bubbled up from the earth here. Considering how arid Kerlynzia used to be hundreds of years ago, it's no wonder, right? 
It's the place that the tradition of every town and village having a bath house comes from... That said, it's really turned into something else, these days.
Either way, when worship of the Sea Goddess became more or less outlawed, the shrine was shuttered, and all around it, massive resorts have sprung up. There's so many of them that I don't think I'll even see them all on the way out tomorrow...
Apparently, it's a huge relaxation destination now, for those who can afford it. A great place to come and be pampered like a princess! Kind of a shame I've got so many other things I'm supposed to be doing right now...

Rein·car·nation (Instrumental)

Sorry for the long hiatus between posts! Right now, I'm focusing on my book. I'm probably going to redo this from scratch as parts of it don't really 'work' for me, but we'll see. (I mean, I ripped myself off with the guitar solo towards the end. Oof.)
I do hope you enjoy this WIP off of an album due sometime next year. (Read: After The Bad Friend releases, which is going to be a while away, 'cause the book comes first!) This track is off the next of the 'Capel Albums' as I've taken to calling them -- the first of which was Planet Aloha.

Swimming Through The Dark [Day / Early WIP]

Return to Aloha is about 80% done now. This track here is a reprise of the Cafeteria theme from the original Planet Aloha album.  Now it's been extended to not just be the cafeteria, but also the rec center. Colony members need a place to unwind, exercise, and play handball or swim laps, after all! 
There's all sorts of weird disparate elements in this one, but I feel it's mostly cohesive! Enjoy!

With My Friends

Back during the original run of Planet Aloha (before I revamped everything in Return, even!) I never got around to making a song for the science/botany department. I didn't for the Military, either, which I've since rectified. Now science finally has its own song 5 years later! anyway, I'd first set out to make Qeshi his own theme for the project, but I accidentally made this instead. It ended up working out well.

I got hired (along with two other fantastic musicians!) to do a song for this pretty rad project called StarBuster!  This is the theme for the intro stage, which is the only one I've done so far. Space Pirate Elza is notorious across Federation Space. Despite the fact that only ever steals food, ammunition and fuel for her ever-growing crew. Elza has only been sailing the stars for 10 years, but is one of the most wanted pirates in the Galaxy simply for the fact that she likes to taunt the Federation. No one knows quite what the federation did to her, but it must have been bad. Some say that's where all the scars on her face came from. Some kind of experiment gone wrong during the mechanoid wars perhaps? Maybe they took her children from her?  
Elza considers herself the first member of the "Galaxy's free peoples," and believes in free love, free-flowing booze and not having to listen to anybody. She embraces pirate aesthetic, too.  One last fun fact: All the Tsu'ghui look exactly like her. Is she behind the Tsu'ghui attacks?
(And yes, her character design is literally orange spaceVerse. :| )

Alpha and Cassie have to navigate a long-abandoned planet. What are they in search of? Reckon you'll have to find out. SAGE is coming up, after all.

READY? Welcome to another trip down memory lane...this was one of the first video game remixes I did back when I started with music production in 2008. My take on the theme of the first stage in Mega Man 8 (inspired by the Sega Saturn version of the game). About when I made this, I recall that I wasn't trying to make anything special. To be honest, this track was just practice of my learning songs by ear to play it on the piano and record via FL Studio...this was the result. Even at that time, I thought it could of been better but I got the main point across. The main point...which was (and is) to bring some smooth listening to your ear drums...A Emcee Muzik style. I hope you enjoy!
