I'm about 99% happy with this. This song will be the ED for the 4th Elancia album once it's finished. I've had it sitting on the backburner for so long that I thought I'd share. I'll post the link to the final here once it's done. Sketches are by Renz!

Old Folktale

Life in Claratine City out on the fringes of the country of Pratz (right on the border with the Empire) is pretty rough. Miners drink a lot, and drifters passing through in search of a quick buck tend to play rough, too. The steam machines are on, doing their best all day and night. There are huge gears and lots of conveyor belts all over town. Verse and her group stop by on their way further north, beyond the borders of either country. Verse has a dark secret in this town. One she'd forgotten for a long, long time. Being here makes her very, very uncomfortable.

Claratine Minetown

More Elancia music from the 4th album. 
Zhari village is a walled village in the northern wastes of the Kerlynzian Empire. The people there are hardy, and its farms are sustained by a dam near the town gates. Normally, it's a pretty peaceful and inconsequential place. Normally.
The city is teeming with Imperial Knights now, keen to sniff out a conspiracy to aid the New State Army which has turned a lot of frontier towns to its cause. It's a tense place to be just now.

Zhari Village

Capel cannot properly pronounce the word "Victory" and always says "Victorly." No one knows why.

'nother album, 'nother rendition of WhiteOut. You know what it do.
I'm a lot happier with this arrangement than my last attempt to adapt the tune into HardSpeed. This fits what I'm going for a little bit better! Enjoy!

Cyber WhiteOut

This song is a fusion of a couple of songs from a previous album in the HardSpeed series -- NightBridge. I liked the feel of both of them, and wanted to combine them into a song representing one of the main antagonist groups in the Hardspeed universe -- the Raiders. They're basically a bunch of strung out Mad Max rejects, but there are a *lot* of them, and they're really good at reverse-engineering anything they can get their grubby mitts on. This song is for one of their strongholds. Capel, Elza and their friends sneak into their bases often on missions.

Rough Types

It was nice to get back into doing a little Elancia music between everything else. The 4th album is chugging along, but has been delayed (for now.) That said, I'm still working on it whenever I can.
With that outta the way, this is the theme for Mei. A mysterious drifter, who has some history with Aria and Fiend. Mei is incredibly reckless and is (almost) as apathetic as Verse. Unlike Verse, Mei works these feelings out by blowing things up and robbing banks. Mei lives an aimless life, following the wind whichever way it blows and getting into trouble wherever it leads. Always looking for another thrill, that wildflower.

WildFlower

'nother Elancia track! I've had this one bouncing around in my brain for years. Off and on, I'd work on it. Sometimes I'd be happy with the results, most times I wouldn't. I think this is what I'm sticking with? Hopefully?
Anyway, this song focuses on one of the dwarven towns in Elancia. Dwarves on Elancia like to build toys, paint buildings and castles bright colors and spread joy. They're a bit different from ones in other lore, but I guess that's what makes them so fun. Verse and friends stop in a Dwarven town during trying times, and it helps pick their moods up a little...

Factory of Joy

'nother tune from my Elancia project. This one is about a little town in a river canyon where Verse and co. stop on their journey. Verse is trying to save her dying friend in a race against time, but this town provides a little respite. She sits with him by the river's edge, and they talk a while.

Tlesen Town is a frontier village in the northern Kerlynzian Empire. Life is rough and tumble out there, and many different cultures overlap here due to the nature of the frontier. Currently, there's a little bit of turmoil in town over a mayoral race...

Tucked away in a little corner of The Empire where no one would be likely to find it, is a little old ranch. It's been someone's hiding spot for many, many a year. What's he hiding from? Someone specific, perhaps? Or maybe just the world at large.
Longtime listeners will recognize this song from a few previous iterations floating around on here. Enjoy!

Lady, Cha Cha Slide Tonight

I'm starting to remember how to make music!
This is from my upcoming album Return to Aloha which is looking to be absolutely massive. Not quite Shifting Tides sized, but pretty large. This song ended up being a mishmash of a lot of the different styles I've used over the Capelspace albums. Some New Jack Swing, some Citypop, some Synthwave, I guess? It's weird, but i'm happy with it.

Colony - Night

Oh hey, some Elancia chronicles music! This is another take on one of the themes from the second Elancia Chronicles album. A certain revelation near the end of the book re contextualizes everything that came before it. 

Verse has to deal with disasters both natural and supernatural while dealing with what's going on with her head, and the new friends by her side (well... 'friends' in some cases.) She got her happy ending, but it isn't what she expected, and her story is only just beginning.   

I did this as a homage to Soundteam JDK who work on the Falcom games. I'm absolutely in love with the Trails in the Sky series, and wanted to do something in that style for the Elancia Chronicles series. Anyway, enough outta me! Enjoy!

Emotion Field

Slowly working my way through the second Elancia Chronicles album to get it to a state where I'm totally happy with it. This song's been one that bugged me for a while -- not because the old version was bad or anything. It just didn't quite nail the feeling I was going for. I'm a lot happier with this one. It definitely fits Verse exploring her homeland again. 
As many of you may be able to tell, I took a lot of inspiration from the Suikoden series (mostly 1, 2 and G1/G2!) for this particular map theme.

Kerlynzia Field - South [DAY]

So, as I've probably been mentioning a lot, both the second Elancia album and book, Symphony of Hunted Truths, have released (let me know if you picked up either!) That means I'm well on my way into working on the third. This is the "OP" for the as-of-yet-untitled book 3. While the OPs for the first two books were a lot more upbeat (and both shared some leitmotifs) the third book (and third album) have their own mood. I wanted to set the tone for that right off the bat with a much more emotional/slower opening theme.  This song actually first appeared on Roadtrips, of all places, although some Elancia leitmotifs are mixed in. Enjoy! Art of Verse is by Renz!

During development of Star Buster, I came to the realization that some stages changed enough that their second halves might warrant a second song. The first levels for both Alpha and Cassie have this going on in a big way! So this is the second half of Alpha's first stage.

Like the day arrangement, this has a lot of inspiration from the Suikoden Series (my favorite game series.)
Guandipi is a town on the border of the Northern Frontier Wasteland in the Kerlynzian Empire. The town is mostly known as one of the major railway stops between the south (green) and north (desert) parts of the Kerlynzian Empire. Mining and Agriculture are the two major things this town does. Verse and her friends have a lot of thinking and important decisions to make in this town.
