This album has been a big part of my life, and will always continue to be. Spanning genres from rock, to classical, to techno to funk, and the just plain ol' zany, this album tells the story of Versearrun, a pirate forced onto land in the ever-changing world of Elancia. Join Verse, along with his 'friends', a broadsword wielding barbarian with hidden intelligence, a young mage with hygiene and personal space issues, a quiet warrior from a distant land (who is kind of a jerk,) and the descendant of a mighty hero who has some serious drinking problems. Info from the original upload: The focus of this particular one is a logging town in the game's world, which is located along a river. Although most of the city is still forested in, a lot of the surrounding area has been logged, replanted, and logged again for hundreds of years. The industry in this town is very old, and a lot of the mills in town are as old as the oldest trees within the town.
There's a lot of machines here, working day and night, alongside their living counterparts, and lots of conveyor belts in the trees.  (So basically Wood Zone >_>; )
The town (Zandvoort, by name) isn't that far from the town of Zolder, whose song you can find here: Leila-wilson-woofle – Deep-forest Both were once the lands of the fox-tribes, but now are a bit more international.

As I work back through season 1 buffing out blemishes and scrubbing away grime, I came to realize that I needed to remember what I was working on and why.

Since The 8-Bit Guy sort of challenged me to come up with something on the B. Meowsic keyboard he reviewed here (https://tinyurl.com/y94cuwks), I had to respond (as I don't know when I'll be able to make another visit to the US this year). So here it is, The B. Meowsic Keyboard Song.

The keyboard itself is practically impossible to play on (without spending ages on getting every take right) so I took the liberty to sample the sounds from the keyboard and allow some light processing (layering sounds, lowpass filter to create some  bass sounds, compression and effects (delay, chorus and reverb)). The drum loops were slowed down as much as possible, then I sampled what I could of the separate drums being played. Unfortunately there were no separate crash cymbals, and the entire keyboard operates close to 22.05 KHz so the entire sound palette is a little muffled, but hopefully it sounds nice nonetheless. :)

Recently I've been forcing myself to only feel inspired to compose things that I 'have' to. (EX: Scenes/locations for the books that haven't yet had tunes made for them, and/or work related things.) Trying to go back to making whatever I feel like. I've been feeling Karina a lot recently (that is a -very- particular mood, trust me,) so I used her theme for practice. Artwork by Renz!
