Symphony of Hunted Truths

Work in progress. Contains some tracks from Season 1. 
Versearrun delves deep into memories of days gone by, to try and make sense of the present, all while being ordered around by a tiny, angry, obese dog. I'm sure there's more to the story than that..!

Elancia Chronicles 2

Another thing from that project (it's safe to assume that everything I upload is.)
The subject of this particular song is an abandoned temple devoted to the Sea Goddess in the game's world. The temple has a lot of water flowing through it in various directions, and is massive, going down into the ground below.  The Sea Goddess is said to have disappeared roughly 20 years prior to the game's story, but that no longer seems to be entirely true. Even if she still lives though, she's left this temple behind, along with a few other gifts.

People who have listened to a lot of my crap will recognize part of 'Transformation' ( https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/transformation-1-x) in the song as well, as the two are thematically related.

Sea Goddess' Temple - Early

Another field map theme from my personal project. This, and the two other versions of it (Day; https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/southern-kerlynzia-field ) (Night; https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/southern-kerlynzia-field-night ) all play in one of the nations in this project. The torrential rainstorm that occurs, and brings about this field map theme is the central focus of the part of the story where the characters are in this country.  [/endless rambling]

I'm finally back to a point in my life where I can focus on the 2nd album in the ECO series, Season 2 - Symphony of Heartless Certainty.  I had to go back and fix some of the writing in season 1's story, along with getting all the illustrations by a group of very talented artists inserted into it (Fortuna, Sorcerer Lance, and Cainethelongshot, as well as a special guest! Thank you all!) 

With that almost done though... it's time to finally get back to what I've been putting off for a year. This second album! Here's a taste -- the first track you'll hear. I'm pretty sure this album will have around 90 songs on it like the first album, but we'll see what the future holds! It really all depends on where the story takes the us...

This will replace one of the older field map themes in season 2 of ECO.
There are a few leitmotifs included in this one that aren't in the daytime version. I felt this was appropriate due to the fact that Verse is given a little more time to think when traveling at night.

While I was poking around at things for the second ECO book's soundtrack, I've been slowly going through and replacing songs that don't quite match up with what I was going for. One such song was one of the tunes for Verse's early childhood... so here you go. :V I'm not 100% happy with it, I think. I'm going to think on it for a little while and see if I want to re-order any parts of it or add anything. As with a lot of my recent stuff, this one is 100% Korg M1.

It includes a lot of different tunes from the second and first albms in medley at the moment, but the final probably will not. It's going to be a long time before I finish this either way, as I have a lot of work pertaining to the first book to do before it releases in spring. "Zhiltes'qai City, huh? Well, they call it a city, it really ain't. It's a tourist trap, more than anything else. It used to be a sacred place where the Sea Goddess was worshiped, but that was before the religious purge. Anyway, there's hot springs all over the place here, and everyone and their mother set up a little resort of their own in the area. None of us easterners can even afford to come here, but the westerners spend their weekends here. It's a funky place. All rocky and what. The resorts are almost stacked. It's full of eccentric weirdo westerners, more than anything. I don't find it very relaxing. Good place to become toasty, though."

Slowly working my way through the second Elancia Chronicles album to get it to a state where I'm totally happy with it. This song's been one that bugged me for a while -- not because the old version was bad or anything. It just didn't quite nail the feeling I was going for. I'm a lot happier with this one. It definitely fits Verse exploring her homeland again. 
As many of you may be able to tell, I took a lot of inspiration from the Suikoden series (mostly 1, 2 and G1/G2!) for this particular map theme.

Satan Emerges

Track 2 on the new Vast Error album "Catch 322," a collection of Alterniabound-esque jams that may be seen in future walkarounds and flashes! I started this song back in April 2019, when Austin approached me with an idea to make a character theme inspired by Amanaguchi's "The Dark One" off the Scott Pilgrim video game OST. The original track is an intense rock-chiptune fusion packed full of energy, and I tried to harness it best I could on this moody theme for everyone's favorite boy.

More Elancia music! This one is from Symphony of Hunted Truths (album due out in December, book due out in 2020.)
This is my fourth or fifth attempt at a song for Qiyala City from Verse's homeland of Kerlynzia. It's a large factory city, filled with farmers displaced by the construction of a nearby dam -- all of whom toil away in factories now. Interestingly, most the revenue from this town goes right into the pocket of the man who built the dam. Rumor has it, he's using a lot of that money to form an uprising. It's just rumors though, right?
As usual, Verse doesn't give a damn. Or a dam!
