I really appreciate this new "layer' to Capel. It's easy to forget she has so much inside her that isn't usually revealed. Also, it's a beautiful song.

I love hearing the many iterations of your music. I get so happy when I'm listening to something new and realize it's pulling from something you've done before.

Capel and friends visit a place where all the secrets of the galaxy and existence itself are locked away and obscured.

Scars [Night]

The release with cat. n° 009 on [Obliqu3], the young department of Brique Rouge for ambient, electronica and breaky musics, comes a bit late, after the n° 010.
Victor Tiago — well known on Brique Rouge with 4 EP released since 2021 — delivers these 3 dreamy and melancholic soundscapes inspired by his his village of origin in the north of Portugal.

Lost Girl

From my upcoming album, Return to Aloha. Part of the Capel series of albums. This is one of the variants of the "fight" theme from it. I needed to do a couple because it's going to be a pretty big album, so instead of just having one big "showdown" song at the end, I wanted to have a few for various conflicts throughout. This particular one includes bits of "Lost Girl." There's a few things I'd like to fix on this before the album comes out. (Shooting for late spring/early summer with this one.)

Clouded Moonlit Rendezvous

I'm starting to remember how to make music!
This is from my upcoming album Return to Aloha which is looking to be absolutely massive. Not quite Shifting Tides sized, but pretty large. This song ended up being a mishmash of a lot of the different styles I've used over the Capelspace albums. Some New Jack Swing, some Citypop, some Synthwave, I guess? It's weird, but i'm happy with it.

Colony - Night

Another track from my upcoming album Return to Aloha. Part of the album is all about redoing tracks from the first album in the series to a style that fits in with the newer albums in the series.  This one was honestly one of the hardest to figure out what to do with! I'm happy with the result, though. Keen listeners or long time listeners might notice the instruments from Night Talk (Nightbridge) and the melody from Lost Girl (Return to Aloha) which was a reprise of Night Talk. The song ends with Lost Girl and Night Talk, before it dissipates into the stars.
For those with a passing interest in the 'lore' behind the albums, this is the love theme for Capel (the derpy medic protag) and her on-again-off-again love interest, Haze. An ex-pilot turned junker. I hope things can work out for them someday.

When I Met You (I wasn't Scared Anymore)

So I've been binging a lot of 80s anime with my sister for inspiration on Return to Aloha (my next 80s album!!) It's been working out pretty well so far.  Bubblegum Crisis/Crash/AD Police have all been pretty inspiring, as has Macross!
The result here is a fusion of the sounds from those shows, especially AD Police and Macross for this one.  Big thanks to The Ghost Mall for his informative videos on VSTs! I picked up a fresh one (KORG Polysix!) due to them. Also used this song to test out the Roland SoundcanvasVA. Enjoy!

Before the Gunfight

This has been one of my back-burner cover ideas that I've had for a few months now, and I finally decided to make it.

Mostly pretty faithful to the original, but I added some noise in some of the quieter parts to simulate wind blowing through the leaves.
