Thanks to everyone in the ChipWin staff for the mastering, lovely personalities, and fun times during the livestream. I often don't interact with a lot of the other parts of the chiptune "scene" so this was a GREAT opportunity to meet some other awesome artists and have fun!!!

Date with Density

This song is from the first installment of Nintendium-118, a (hopefully) annual collaborative project hosted by Teuthida through the PSG Cabal! Entrants were tasked with creating a chiptune song inspired by a randomly-assigned element. The collab was open to composers of all skill levels and styles, leading to a very diverse (and very good) set of tracks.

Artwork is by Renz! Like Sunflower Fox, this theme is meant to show Verse's adorkable side. Unlike Sunflower Fox, I'm actually happy with this one. It's in a very similar vein to https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/pocket-watch?in=leila-wilson-woofle/sets/ec-shiftingtides. I feel this sound kind of better encompasses Verse. One part depression, three parts awkward, two parts just wanting to be loved, and four parts failing at everything she tries. She sort of keeps trundling along, hoping that someday, something will work out.

Verse's motif (that plays across all her themes) is called Crafty Smile, btw, for those who keep track of that kind of thing.
