Sounds both fierce and elegant. I love the ancient tone to it, I think it matches the title perfectly! And i don't know what the Korg M1 is, but if it makes this sound, I don't think you should be afraid to use it, haha!

This is another song from that project I'm always blabbing about/posting from. It is a leitmotif focused around loss, and the uncontrollable feelings related to it. Since that is a very important theme in the story of that project, this theme crops up in many different places.

Touching up a few old ECO tracks. I'm going through and fixing up all the old skirmish tracks, even though they don't see much play in the novel. Still! I feel it's important they're updated.  I've always considered Enmity here to be the "true" skirmish theme for Elancia Chronicles, although it certainly isn't the *only* one.  As with most of my recent ECO stuff, I went for a Grandia-esque feel.  I'll upload the other skirmish themes ... at some point.

Funfact: I first wrote this song in 1999, and it was kind of terrible. I composed it for a Japanese furry artist I really admired. He liked it so much, in fact, that he said I could make music for his whole site! ...But being 13 and terrified of failure, I politely declined, fearing nothing else I would make could be good enough for his work. I still regret that to this day.

Practice with a new VST. There's a few imperfections that really don't work for me, but it gave me the practice I needed. With a few adjustments, I can probably squeeze this into ECO anyway.

While I was poking around at things for the second ECO book's soundtrack, I've been slowly going through and replacing songs that don't quite match up with what I was going for. One such song was one of the tunes for Verse's early childhood... so here you go. :V I'm not 100% happy with it, I think. I'm going to think on it for a little while and see if I want to re-order any parts of it or add anything. As with a lot of my recent stuff, this one is 100% Korg M1.

Memory - Early

"Zhiltes'qai City, huh? Well, they call it a city, it really ain't. It's a tourist trap, more than anything else. It used to be a sacred place where the Sea Goddess was worshiped, but that was before the religious purge. Anyway, there's hot springs all over the place here, and everyone and their mother set up a little resort of their own in the area. None of us easterners can even afford to come here, but the westerners spend their weekends here. It's a funky place. All rocky and what. The resorts are almost stacked. It's full of eccentric weirdo westerners, more than anything. I don't find it very relaxing. Good place to become toasty, though."

This tune is one of the more melancholy and mysterious themes from Symphony of Hunted Truths. It's a reprise of a song from the first album, and I'm really happy with this new direction it's taken.

Now that my latest album, Symphony of Hunted Truths has released, I'm slowly chipping away at HardSpeed again. This project has gotten pretty big, to say the least.

Mostly pretty faithful to the original, but I added some noise in some of the quieter parts to simulate wind blowing through the leaves.
