THROUGH THE LIGHTNING (Stage 1)

Here is the music for Illusion Fort Zone. This level is supposed to be a trip, so I figured shimmery chords and a floating lead with some grimy FM bass and powerhouse drums might be a cool way to go. The second half goes half time into some pseudo future bass territory for a break down, which I hope rounds out this fun little loop of twists and turns :).  Thanks for listening.

A proper stress test of my KORG NS5R, this thing is strange -- but so much fun. Every part was multitracked to be individually processed and mixed, and it worked a treat!

Happy New Year my dear friends! Many of you have requested that I cover the song Good Weather from the game Gimmick!, and as ye have asked, so shall ye receive! Much love to you all.

The main synths are all Native Instruments FM8, which is itself a nearly-perfect simulation of the venerable Yamaha DX7 from 1983. Even the "steel drums" are from the DX7!
