A short interlude from my upcoming album Hardspeed: Passion and Warfare. I based it around the sound of my favorite citypop artist, Yuji Toriyama. His work has really stuck with me.

An Interlude

This song languished on my hard drive for the last 2-3 albums. It took me until this one to figure out what I wanted to do with it. It's pretty different from the rest of the HardSpeed stuff, but I have a rule for myself with Hardspeed; "Don't be boring." That entails using all this retro-style equipment to not just do one genre (say, Synthwave,) but to do anything I can think of. So, here's a shmup-style song.
