The Jolisa EP marks a significant shift in Luca dell’Orso’s sound. Although the electric hooks and rolling rhythms that characterise the dutchman’s signature style are still present, new avenues are explored. One notable change is the addition of vocals, care of the EP’s namesake: Jolisa. The opening, “Sixteen”, smoulders with a palpable intensity. Steady beats and textured pads support synth stabs as impassioned vocals recant a tale of past lessons. “Reach Out”, on the flip, is a different animal. Big and daring, chords chug next slicing snares while lyrics brim with hope. Two instrumental works balance the four tracker. “Nighttime” is perfectly sculpted with a soulful melody and clean percussion, vocoder lyrics giving a sorrowful slant to track. A true epic closes: “Tomorrow’s Already Here.” Bold keys and racing rhythms collide in this 80s steeped extravaganza, electro-disco and car chases in this incredible end. A defining EP from Luca dell’Orso.

This is my set at Camp Cosmic 2019,  8 o’ clock when the sun came up. 
I think it was one of my all time favourites — the energy of the audience dancing & smiling in front of me was super beautiful and what Camp Cosmic means to me… One love!

The set is re-recorded from my blurred memory and 45 minutes of my phone grabbing the sound — the recorder disappeared into the fog, such as the rest of the set… But I tried my best to puzzle together what i played.

Curva Imposible is a gathering in Barcelona that explores the most enigmatic margins of music in unique spaces.

The latest event featured local and international acts like Bejota Nova, Lato A, Pedro D. Sáiz, ML, Tomaga, Ron V/D, Don The Tiger, Estades, Andre Pahl & Alicia Carrera, Heap and Rabih Beaini.

The Mystic Room is the place thought for mental relaxation where any sonic oddities could happen - for this occasion, secret guest André Pahl and I played the last slot, acompanied by the nicest crowd.

Big thanks to André Pahl, all the listeners that accompanied us along the journey, to Meri Bonastre, Vir and all the artists and friends involved.

The night was in full swing; limbs moving and arms flailing wildly beneath the flashing lights. We'd been looking for somewhere special all night but no where seemed to keep us locked in. But here, things were different. The music was on point, the crowd were welcoming... So far everything had slotted into place. Tonight’s gonna be a good one, there was something in the air. Can't jinx it though, we’ll see how it plays out...

INCOMING : Romain FX - Make Italo Disco Great Again [Ft. Guido Balboa &  Annika] #BootsandLegs

Petros Leivadas was born in Thessaloniki in 1990. He began his musical education at the age of five. He studied at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue and he received his Bachelor Degree in Composition from Aristoteles University of Arts in Thessaloniki (prof. M. Lapidakis, D. Papageorgiou). 
In 2015, he completed his Master Degree in Composition with Rebecca Saunders, Oliver Schneller and Joachim Heintz at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. Also, in 2018/19 he was Artist-in-Residency in Styria, Graz, he taught Instrumentation analysis at the University of Music in Kassel and  completed his studies as Solo Klasse Komposition student at the Hochschule für Musik Hannover with Ming Tsao, Gordon Williamson and Joachim Heintz as a scholar of “Niedersächsisches Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft”, which he has received twice (2017/18 - 2019/20). Furthermore, since 2017 he is a PhD candidate of Aristoteles University of Arts in Thessaloniki (prof. M. Lapidakis). 
His music has been performed by ensembles such as Musik Fabrik Köln, Ensemble Mosaik Berlin, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, Ensemble Sur-Plus Ensemble Garage Κöln and Ensemble Schallfeld.
