Journey Across the Ocean

Was für ein Wochenende! 

Das Lichtalbenfestival 2021 war ein besonderer Moment für meine Freunde und mich. Tolle Location, klasse Leute, mega Glück mit dem Wetter.

Zum einen durfte ich dank olibrii und der tollen 60 Zoll Crew aus Hannover selbst spielen Samstag Nacht von 1:00-3:00 Uhr in einer cosy Lagerfeueratmosphäre beim Kiosk.
Zum anderen waren meine Homies Electrogecko und cLam genauso geflasht wie ich, mal wieder raus zu kommen nach dem Lockdownwahnsinn.
Und last but not least durfte ich einige Soundcloudbuddies persönlich kennen lernen, den jeweiligen Menschen dahinter quasi.

Ich freue mich, mit den sympathischen Leuten aus Kassel um Kiki Kokolores und Coordese abhängen und tanzen zu dürfen. (Kikis Set war übrigens der Killer und mein persönliches Highlight des ganzen Wochenendes.)
Fredaric und Marlin Helene von der Diskoflausch Crew waren auch da und ziemlich cool. Marlin Helene hat gleich zwei mal gerockt, was das Zeug hält.
Xayíde spielte wunderschön verträumt nach mir und entpuppte sich ebenfalls als supernett. Ich hoffe, ich habe niemanden vergessen, natürlich waren auch jede Menge für mich neue Leute da.

Rundum ein Erlebnis, wirklich ein gelungenes Festival. Ich habe mich selten so wie in einer großen Familie gefühlt. Und es hat so Spaß gemacht. Sonntags wurde es dann auch dank olibrii´s und baenj´s chanagang Auftritt einfach nur so absurd, dass wir uns spontan den Montag frei nehmen mussten.  HAMMER!

That sunny morning a couple of days before the autumn equinox, the little witch woke up from the pleasant sound of the singing birds in her forest.  With her eyes half-open and still feeling drowsy from a good night’s sleep, her heart suddenly skipped a beat from excitement when she realized it was almost full moon, which meant she’ll participate in the monthly witch coven (which always takes place in a different location and in the ever-changing company of two other witches).  The girl quickly slipped into her immaculately white dress and – after eating some brambles and white grapes for breakfast – kissed goodbye to her friends Speedy The Hedgehog and Lalita The Nymph, before taking off into the unknown.  Hekske knew she would reach her destination by simply following her inner compass.  This would be her 103rd witch coven and so far, she had only been flying to the north, east or south, but never to the west.  So she was very surprised and excited when her inner compass told her to fly westwards, and soon she crossed the shoreline and flew over the North Sea.  Shorty afterwards, she saw the majestic white cliffs of England for the very first time of her life.  After reaching the shore, her inner compass told her to turn right and fly northwards.  It was a breathtaking flight over the green rolling hills of England and the majestic mountains and lakes of Scotland.  The little witch was very curious at which place her flight would end.  After a long flight she saw the Atlantic Ocean in the distance.  The little witch was a bit disappointed that the witch coven obviously wasn’t taking place in the mythical realm of Scotland.  The girl was flying almost straight to the north and the weather was deteriorating quickly.  She needed to battle gale-force head winds and soon she was soaked to the bone by the incessant rain, while it got colder and colder.  Witches are extremely tough, and through sheer willpower she managed to weather the storm and reach a zone with sunny – but cool - weather.  The witch’s dress was still soaking wet and she was feeling really cold.  She desperately needed to land somewhere, but all she could see were the endless expanses of the North Atlantic Ocean.  To make things worse, time was running out as sunset was nearing.  And just when the little witch was getting desperate, she saw land in the north … the desolate Faroe Islands.  Soon she was flying in the middle of these spectacular treeless islands, with rugged mountains towering half a mile above the sea.  There wasn’t much time left as night was falling, and when the young witch saw a flock of sheep, she didn’t hesitate a single second and gently touched down near the herd.  The sheep were very curious and gave her a warm welcome.  They showed her the way to a small cave where – to her great surprise – she found a clean witch’s dress.  This meant that the witches of Faroe knew that a sodden witch would spend the night in this cave.  The dress was not fully white (as is always the case for European witches) but white with mysterious orange symbols.  The girl quickly slipped into this warm and dry dress and prepared for the night, surrounded by her new sheep friends who kept her warm.  The exhausted witch quickly fell into a deep sleep, and in a dream the final destination of her journey was revealed… the mystic island of Iceland, with its glaciers, fjords, volcanoes and geysers.  And Iceland is the home of the enigmatic Eldnorns, fire witches who live near the volcanoes.  At that moment, the little witch realized that the white and orange dress was actually an Eldnorn dress.  The next morning, the girl couldn’t wait to continue flying to Iceland and learn about the healing power of fire …
