Only slightly Deep, Lady D (or Darlene Jackson) offers up a Disco-centered House style that reflects Chicago's untainted reputation. Her work fits in appropriately beside Glenn Underground, Ralphi Rosario and Derrick Carter. Big, blocky beats tumble systematically over throbbing basslines, euphoric female vocal loops and bliss-generating sound effects.
