Después de más de un año de trabajo, viajes, sol, lluvia y muchas aventuras, el tercer álbum de Derrok está a la vuelta de la esquina, y qué mejor manera de adelantarlo que lanzando como primer single Estrella de la Mañana, canción grabada en el pueblo mágico Tepoztlán, México, junto a Hannah Ayakosulamith en las voces.

[EN] After more than a year of work, travels, sun, rain and many adventures, Derrok’s third album is around the corner. Estrella de la Mañana is the first single of it, recorded in Tepoztlan, México, it was cowriten with Hannah Ayakosulamith, who also appears with her beautiful voice in the song.

en dialecto Wólof, hablado por ciertas tribus africanas de Gambia y el Senegal. La fonetica de "Yamulemao" se puede traducir como: "Niño de aguas azules" o algo por el estilo. Se escribe Diamoule Mawo. Al parecer Joé cambio la letra original del cantante africano Laba Sosseh (con su autorización, claro)

AyOwA - Farvel EP (Mini Mix)

TERANGA BEAT proudly presents Vol.2 of Kyriakos Sfetsas' 1976 "Greek Fusion Orchestra" project. Sfetsas' vision behind the formation of GFO, was to create a piece of work that would expand the boundaries of Greek traditional music. The result was a Progressive-Jazz Fusion masterpiece comprising complex and intriguing compositions, performed by Athens' best musicians of the day.

Following the success of Vol.1, Vol.2 is a compilation of musical pieces Sfetsas recorded with the group right upon the completion of the Vol. 1 material. Vol.2 is still reflective of his ambition of bringing together progressive jazz and traditional music, but it does so in a different manner. Although the element of traditional music remains present, it does not provide the compositional foundation for the songs (e.g. most pieces are no longer based exclusively on traditional musical forms). More jazzy and more complex than Vol.1, Vol.2 has a darker feeling, presenting Sfetsas not only as a musical experimentalist, but also as a demanding and distinctive composer, who truly puts his musicians through the test.

The recordings on this album are previously unreleased and form only a small part of his overall body of work with the GFO. The music was originally recorded Stereo on Reel Tape with highest standards for the time, with the modern mastering process highlighting even more their original sound quality. The result is a truly impressive and pure audiophile album, even slightly better than Vol.1 on that regard.

The LP version of the album is a Deluxe Edition and comes with a high gloss laminated gatefold cover, a printed insert and a digital download code. The CD packaging is Digipak with Slipcase, including a booklet with photos and liner notes outlining the story of the band members.

Benny aka Landhouse ist nicht nur ein Karlsruher Urgestein, langjähriger Resident im Erdbeermund, sondern auch ein super lieber Mitmensch und ein hervorragender Musiker wie ich finde. Seine Produktionen sind seit Jahren ein wahres Feuerwerk der Sinne. Immer etwas sinnlich-melancholisch angehaucht und mit einer gehörigen Tiefe an Mol Sound angereichert, holen seine Stücke einen eigentlich immer dort ab wo man ist. Entführung ins Reich der Transzendenz inklusive. Ein Sound der wie gemalt für eine Afterhour ist. Daher freue ich mich riesig, dass du uns mit deiner Keta-Bombe "Mappa-Drom" beschenkt hast. Locker leicht und dennoch mit der gewissen, notwendigen Schwere an Wehmut. Ein besseres (Vor-) Weihnachtsgeschenk gibt es kaum. Danke Benny.

Benny aka Landhouse is not only a Karlsruhe primary rock, longtime resident in the 'Erdbeermund' Club, but also a super nice fellow human being and an excellent musician as I think. His productions have been a real firework of the senses for years. Always a bit sensual and melancholic and enriched with a proper depth of Mol sound, his pieces always pick you up where you are. Abduction into the realm of transcendence included. A sound that is like painted for an afterhour. That's why I'm really happy that you have given us your Keta-Bomb "Mappa-Drom". Easy and light, but still with the certain, necessary heaviness of melancholy. There is hardly a better (pre-)Christmas present. Thanks Benny.
