1) Tell us a bit about yourself and your record collection.

My name is Oscar Wilson, I’m a designer from London, and work with my brother Ben as @thewilsonbrothers https://www.instagram.com/thewilsonbrothers/ 
We also play records together, mostly 45’s these days, but both of us have LPs and 12” as well :) My ‘collection’ is pretty varied, but based around a lifetime's love of Black music, and playing these records ‘publicly’ for 32 years now.


2) 45/7 is all about celebrating the 7". Can you tell us a bit about what you love about the format.

I love that 7” versions are shorter, and the physical format smaller / lighter than 12” - so you can take (physically carry!) and play more music / genres across the night.


3) One hour of vinyl goodness... can you talk us through your selection for your 45/7 mix?

In fact it actually turned out to be two hours in the end! :)  - taken from a 5.5 hour live recording at Hazel’s - @hazels.sta https://www.instagram.com/hazels.sta/ - which is a super nice music led restaurant and wine bar concept about 30 minutes north of London. The 1st hour is early in the night / 2nd hour later on - but it’s all very relaxed vibes for listening (and dining) rather than dancing.


4) Where can people catch you / listen to your music?

45/7 #96 ARTIST: WILSON BROTHERS (PART 2)

Eddie C is a Canadian DJ, producer, and vinyl enthusiast known for his warm, groove-driven blend of disco, house, funk, and balearic sounds. Originally from Southern Ontario, Eddie’s musical journey began in the late ‘80s, influenced by hip-hop and the early acid house scene. He started by making tape edits of late-night radio shows and immersing himself in warehouse parties.

His diverse taste and deep record knowledge were honed through years of university radio and 1990s raves, eventually leading him to craft eclectic, soulful DJ sets that span boogie, slo-mo disco, and deep house.

In 2010, Eddie founded Red Motorbike, a vinyl-only label that’s become a cult favorite for its dusty, analog-inspired cuts. His productions and edits have appeared on respected labels like Razor-N-Tape, Endless Flight, and Crue-L Records.

Now based in Vancouver Island - after leaving Berlin in 2020 and being a nomad for three years - he continues to tour internationally, thanks to his soulful, genre-blending sets and unwavering dedication to underground music culture.

Oh! We almost forget to tell you he recently launched his brand-new label, Disko Universal, debuting with an EP in collaboration with Keitano Sano. Don’t miss it!

Recorded "LIVE" on Easter Sunday, 2019 - Here's a nice long (just under 5 hours) taste from what was a beautiful 8 hour journey of sensational music curated on the fly by the super combo of GE-OLOGY and RED GREG (both amazing in their own right), whose individual and combined music knowledge, chemistry, insane record collections, and masterful DJ skills WOW'd the Selectors Stage audience at DEKMANTEL a few years ago when they first paired up to play back-to-back. Ever since, it's been a treat to see these guys team up on a few more occasions...and the 6th birthday celebration for the FEVER 105 crew was no exception! Pure musical bliss....enjoy!
