As we move into 2025, LHM begin a run of stunning guest mixes from some of the disco and house heads we have followed and admire, whether over the years or those coming through turning our heads.

We couldn't ask for a better start with none other than Marcel Vogel. As a selector and DJ, his dancefloor shaking prowess is something we have witnessed on numeral occasions and through his productions, remixes and edits, as well as his wonky disco label Lumberjacks in Hell, we have also used his wares on many of our dancefloors.

Marcel kindly took the time to speak to us to discuss his label and its forthcoming release from Lyma plus a host of other chat on his gigs, family, music and more and you can check out the interview via the link below.

Known for sets that embody the essence of soul, his performance from last Summer was undoubtedly a highlight for many.

I was playing alongside Toshio Matsuura who as I walked in the club was playing some electronic bits that sounded so heavy, I threw a few in myself… Hope you enjoy.

Gilles Peterson DJ set - Precious Hall, Japan (5th Oct 2015)

A global band in the largest sense of the world, Khruangbin takes inspiration from Thai funk to the sounds of Spain and the Middle East, particularly Iran. The music of the dreamy Texan trio is rooted in the deepest waters of world music infused with classic soul, dub and psychedelia. They perform a DJ set in advance of the release of their new album, Con Todo El Mundo, out on 26 January 2017.
