Today we welcome Spclnch back on Delayed, this time with a track from Alien Workshop, the upcoming EP from Russian artist R.Hz, who has been in form lately, with multiple releases throughout 2022. 

Spectrum, the A1 track, serves as the perfect opener. With a brooding, efficient and enticing intro, the track's percussion and bassline gain traction and become more and more powerful as the track goes by. The track's moodiness and dark, eerie aura make it a perfect piece for any warm-up set puzzle. 

Spclnch has become a consistently reliable source for minimal-leaning dubby house, breaks and techno, and this EP extends their streak and cements their status even further. We are excited to listen to and support Spclnch and R.Hz's future endeavors. 

The Alien Workshop EP by R.Hz will be out on spclnch, both on vinyl and digitally, on February 2, 2023.

Asking to attentively look into the blurry picture, the creators report something meaningful in the language of dub-techno. It is impossible to say exactly what all of the glitches, muffled fog loops, light noise and voice samples contain. Perhaps this is a tribute to the good old Detroit together with the longing for the departed, or maybe it is the personification of a new reality with its social indecision and fragmentation. This knowledge seems to flow in the fibres of the subconscious, picking out the answer inside the listener. Despite the noticeable anxiety of the ambient background, the threadlike pulse of life is performed by the warm chords, expressing hope for a better future.
