« Résidence Pavillonnaire » : Residential district located on the outskirts of larger metro areas. This series of podcast intend to explore music curated on the outskirts of the mainstream spectrum through our guests residential selection, giving a sneak peak in their tastes & influences, might it be for listening and/or for dancing.

Our first guest is Jonas Köksal, co-founder of O Mato. For the last 8 years the multi-disciplinary collective from whom Jonas has been the creative backbone has been organizing social gatherings and experiences from Berlin to Brazil. 

Introduced to music threw his father’s digitales record collection, his first self aware purchase of music was 50 Cent’s « Get rich or die tryin ». 
Wondering then between punk, reggae & hip hop during his teenage years, he became curious about where the samples came from and depened his jazz, funk, library & world music culture. Years later, after thinking house/techno was loopy & boring when first introduced, he got sucked into it after experiencing it with the proper setting. 

For this first résidence, he crafted a one hour selection of US hip hop.

A studio-head in the true sense of the word, YokoO’s last 20 years have seen him master house music in all its deepest forms. With a prolific and impressive discography, YokoO has made his mark on noteworthy labels to date with original releases and a back-catalogue of strong remixes.

He’s turned the heads of many a label boss from Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Matthew Dekay, Lee Burridge, and MANDY, as well as racked up plays from a broad spectrum of industry reference artists. YokoO’s music has proven time and time again it can reach the record bags of the DJing elite on every continent.

His most notable projects Pachamama and Euneirophrenia anticipated the evolution behind the January ’21 release of his EP Jivanmuktih on Crosstown Rebels’ offshoot Rebellion. 2021 marked for YokoO the rebirth into a significant new chapter of his career as a producer, with a matured musical intuition charged with seductive blends of eclectic, deep, minimal, and hypnotic house grooves.

Like a mantra vibrating beat by beat, his music abides only to his deepest meditative intuition and revolves around the creation of unbound free-flowing states of creativity, echoing in stillness a deep connection to nature where every subtle detail counts for rich artistic expression and depth.

“I am committed to the Truth.” With these words, YokoO explains how he draws inspiration from his Yoga practice and the Yamas as he channels his creative energy into his label SATYA, a project that signifies the maturing into a state of unbridled surrender to the craft. With SATYA, he intends to support and represent artists who embrace creativity as a non-compromising act devoid of any expectation.

His constant evolution as a human being plays hand in hand with the authenticity of his creative process, committed to releasing unpredictable sounds that never fail to communicate, connect, and move.

Between gigs, you’ll find YokoO producing in his home-built studio in Lisbon or saluting the sun somewhere in Mexico.

As he grew, encounters with artists like Subb-an, Burnski, and Silat Beksi pushed him beyond DJing into production and label management. While Wrocław didn’t provide direct musical inspiration, his creative outlook has always been outward-facing, drawing influence from international scenes.Today, Gogan juggles multiple roles as a producer, DJ, label owner, and even a construction company manager—all while maintaining an unrelenting passion for music. Whether crafting tracks in his home studio, curating releases for his label Kooky Music, or setting the vibe with warm-up sets for artists like Priku, his approach remains deeply rooted in authenticity and exploration.In this interview, Gogan reflects on his creative process, the realities of Poland’s electronic music scene, and what it takes to stay prolific in a fast-evolving industry.
