Lence is a Rap and Spoken Word Artist from Leeds. Blurring the lines of Poetry and Rap with a fast, passionate style of music, writing about his own experiences. Lence has performed at the BBC 1xtra Words First Festival, organised a sold out show at Leeds Playhouse and has recently been played on BBC 6 Music. 

Here is a review of Lence's latest project 'Like You Are' by Jumbo Records. 'To me, Lence is at the absolute peak of the self produced U.K. Hiphop scene and has many of the crucial elements to make me feel that from his powers of communication simmered into sick flows, the story-telling elements that go from frank introspection to keen observation all with the great production that screams out that this guy CARES about what he puts out. It's all with a genuine working class voice that offers not only a way out and hope but also a way in. It's inspirational stuff but it's not afraid to touch on the darkness too. Political, powerful and fresh'
