Kidnap is an artist whose music overflows with emotion - rich and powerfully evocative.

Recording in London, Kidnap (real name Matthew Relton) likens his process to that of a sculptor, starting with a block of sound and chopping away until a shape emerges. As such, each song exists ornately carved with a handcrafted subtly.

Still just 33, Relton is already something of an industry veteran. Releasing his first single in 2012 kicked off an eight-year stretch of global touring that came to a grinding halt when the pandemic put the world on pause.

2024 marks a new chapter for Kidnap, with his next body of work on the horizon. Set against the backdrop of a changing world and the arrival of a baby daughter, Relton offers a bittersweet reflection on the passing of time. ‘It’s about looking back on the last 12 years — the touring and the friends and the sleeplessness,” says Relton, “and realising that in order to embrace the life I have now, I need to let it all go.’ The music shimmers with nostalgia. Signature sad melodies dance deftly around commanding synth lines, altogether sounding like an artist with a new found sense of purpose.

Void of Coil was born the first day of 2008, mixing the deepest dark ambient's structures and scary visual effects, doing so the only "deep dark ambient" project in Argentina.
December 5th.2008 was created the first album called "Deadly winter snow". This album is the beginning of a trilogy based on the life of Tropoff Olitsacled, a lonely madman with a strange life in the deep of the siberian forest. This record captures mournful passages with environmental atmospheres that will wrap you into the deepest nightmare. In  February 10th of 2010 see the light the second part, "Deadly winter snow II". Three long tracks even deeper than the first one. This time, Nate, the Tropoff's victim, leaves a tape recording with his scary feeling that the end is near.
Closing the trilogy, "Deadly winter snow III" (a field recording) see the light November 04th 2010. A pure ambient release creeping the trees of Siberia direct to the train station. The rest is blank for Nate.

A new album called "Towards nothingness" born December 13th.2010. Entirely dedicated to the memory of Ivo M. Wagner, (The creator of Waldgerumque and a good friend O' mine) One pretty long track in celebration of his short life.

OKeh short history: 

OKeh was founded by Otto K. E. Heinemann when he set up his own recording studio and gramophone record pressing plant in New York City in September 1918. Heinemann formed the name of the record label "OKeh", from his initials.  OKeh began by issuing popular songs, dance numbers, and vaudeville skits similar to the fare of other labels, but Heineman also wished to experiment with music for audiences neglected by the larger record companies. OKeh produced lines of recordings in German, Czech, Polish, Swedish, and Yiddish for the USA's immigrant communities. In 1920, Ralph Peer's recordings by African-American blues singer Mamie Smith were a surprise smash hit for Okeh. The company perceived the significant, little-tapped market for blues and jazz by African American artists. Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington and Bix Beiderbecke are only a few names of jazz greats that have recorded for the label. By 1926 Columbia Records bought the label and kept it running into the 60's with jazz and R&B recordings. 

In 1994, Sony Music reactivated the OKeh label as a new-age Blues label. Okeh's first new signings included Keb' Mo, Popa Chubby, and Little Axe. By 2000, the Okeh label was again retired, but in 2013 it will see its re-launch as a jazz label once again.
