"Valera Obuhov, aka VAO, was born in 1981 and grew up in the south of Russia in the city of Krasnodar, near the Black Sea coast, where parties with the participation of various stars of the electronic scene began to take place back in the 90's. Such as the KaZantip held in the Republic of Crimea from 1992 to 2013. Also bringing foreign artists such as Anthony Pappa to the "Kakady Club" in 2007. Оn July 20th, 2012, a party with John Digweed and Denis A took place in the Krasnodar nightclub "Sugar". It was during these years that he fell in love with electronic music and completely immersed himself in it. 1996 was the peak of the growing popularity of electronic music in Russia and the appearance of numerous top clubs and events. His musical taste was formed thanks to such artists as Anthony Pappa, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and many others. In 2017, he decided to start recording mixes for friends and various music communities, realizing that without music, our life is nothing but routine. Encyclopedia was founded in 2021. Since its creation, the artistic direction has been driven by the design and creation of visual and musical supports. Encyclopedia's activity is mainly focused on the promotion and distribution of DJ artists in the world of progressive house Organic House & Progressive. In three years, more than 250 artists have emerged, totaling more than 600 mixes around the world (England, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Israel, Turkey, etc.) and great artists of Progressive House and Progressive.

Encyclopedia also deploys a wide range of artistic interventions, which aim to share the different facets and singularities of our concept. Initially, the ARAWAK project is part of this dynamic and made it possible to set up the first electronic digital festival, in collaboration with Bianco Vargas dj living in Brazil, with whom we had been working since the first season. Encyclopedia as a broadcaster has put together other playlists like Voyager, Mesopotamia, Destination and Monophony that you can discover on streaming platforms. After 3 years of development in Montpellier in France, Encyclopedia is in full evolution and created with Aglaia Rave a solid and professional collaboration on the creation & cooperation of the Encyclopedia Edition radio.
