We're takin' it easy today with LADS' fantastic summer sip: the Slow Comfortable Screw Against The Wall. A riff on the Screwdriver, with Sloe Gin in place of Vodka, the Slow Crew cocktail family emerged in the 80s. LADS' version takes you on a sweet and sexy downtempo ride, perfect to while away a hot late summer night.  

Who are LADS? One German. One South African. Germafrican if you want. Meeting online (not Tinder), the two technical creatives ditched their failing modelling careers to make electronic music that babies are made to... This journey has led to the duo releasing on labels such as Lost & Found, Akbal, Nie Wieder Schlafen, Buddha Bar and seen their music supported by some of the biggest names in the industry including Solomun, Adriatique, Acid Pauli, Be Svendsen, Guy J and more. 

Being away from the clubs and festivals, the duo decided to go on a downtempo listening journey with their exclusive mix for Schirmchendrink.  "This really allows the listener to appreciate the space in between the rhythms and melodies. We named this mix after a cocktail out of the 1980s and 1990s with a racy name and definitely way too much sugar 😉  Enjoy this long comfortable screw against the wall. At least this time, it ain't in a dirty bathroom stall 😉!"

LADS @ Melodic Therapy #102 - Germany

The synergy of two performers from different continents but with a completely identical taste for sound brought us, definitely refreshment on the electronic music scene, a fantastic project called LADS.
One of them represents South Africa while the other comes from Germany. Two completely different countries, where even the development of the music scene itself took a different path, but two countries that can be said to be in the lead with music lovers.
Shortly after the LADS project was launched, their first releases were signed for record labels such as Particles, Proton Music, Nie Wieder Schlafen, but they achieved a real boom on the scene by signing a contract for the prestigious record label, Lost & Found, held by the famous Guy J.
We are extremely proud to be able to present you a one-hour, exclusive, mix of LADS that premiered this month on Proton Radio!
