A Sunday afternoon delight from two of techno's most beloved heavy-hitters arrives exclusively on our Soundcloud.

Berlin techno viking and founder of Dystopian Records Rødhåd and the young, accomplished and Mote-Evolver regular Rene Wise have released their 4 hour set recording from March 2023, a huge B2B session that saw the pair delve in and out of eachother’s company for our last Continuum party. They played an extended set during the final Continuum 24+hour party of the season this Spring. 

The session, which started at 4pm as the tail end of the afternoon drew in and went on til 8pm ahead of a closing set from Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, proved to be one of our highlights from the event. It's a real treat to be able to share the full recording; smashers from the get-go that takes us through the hard and heavy, to the atmospheric and energetic.

DUSKCAST 013 : UVÄLL

Nuno Costa began his ventures into electronic music in 2008 with his Sinner moniker, and with it he created Warface, a local crew and promoter focused on dubstep, drum ’n’ bass, and UK garage.

In 2013 he kickstarted his new project, VIL, focusing mainly on techno. His debut EP came in early 2015, when Portuguese label Extended Records picked him up for a release. Soon after, he released on Lewis Fautzi’s “Faut Section” imprint, on the legendary Synewave New York, run by Damon Wild and Be as One records from Shlomi Aber.

VIL’s refined taste and set building ability has already earned him a place at some of the best clubs in the country, of which Lux Frágil and Gare are included, and is a regular presence at many of the country’s festivals as well. Fast forward to 2018, where alongside Portuguese artists Temudo and Menosdois, he creates Hayes, a collective focused on showcasing the distinct output of its artists through vinyl and digital releases. Already counting with several vinyl releases since its inception and garnering support by some of the biggest name in the scene, Hayes turns out to be one the most promising labels to rise during the pandemic.

Furthermore VIL used the extended time in the studio between 2020 and 2021 to place his output on renowned labels outside of his own realm. Landing highly anticipated EPs both on Ben Klock’s seminal label Klockworks and Stranger’s Self Reflektion to name a few. In November 2024 he released his debut album on Steffi's Dolly label.

Lidvall - one of the most productive artists on the scene, known for his rough, textural sound, based in Oviedo, Spain.

He started his techno journey in 2017 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia as a live performer and took part in the biggest Russian techno festivals like Gamma in Saint-Petersburg, Monasterio Factory in Moscow and many other local events.

Since that time he has made many vinyl and digital releases on a different labels such as Mord, Soma, Symbolism, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Faut Section, and many others.

Being inspired by world-leading DJs like Ben Sims, Takaaki Itoh and Oscar Mulero, Lidvall follows the conception of non stop stream of energy and intense mixing to lead the crowd through a whole mix. Juggling tracks, he always tells a story with an intricate plot and a dynamic evolving.

Premiere: Generali Minerali - K Driver [MKN002]

The back2back mix was recorded live at Fossil Archive Presents at The Glove that Fits in London. This is organised once a month on a Sunday evening by Roberto R.M.K, and it was a truly special one. 

Even though they had never played together previously, the blend of styles felt like they’d been doing it for years. It was a truly magical experience for everyone involved, which was aided by the lack of air conditioning which had broken the day before. The heat and music were very intense which resulted in everyone sweating like crazy! Hopefully this will be the first of many b2b’s they play.

Leo Pkhakadze a.k.a. Leofunk is originally from Tbilisi, Georgia, he currently resides and produces in Melbourne, Australia. 
His first steps in music production were taken with the purchase of a vintage Soviet analog synth in the mid 90’s. Greatly influenced by the sound of Warp, Planet Mu, Ninja Tune, Droppin’ Science and the likes he starts experimenting with beats’n’pieces, combining the funkiness of the “Great Soul Era” of the 70’s with broken rhythms of the evolving urban-tech sounds.
In 1998 he gets swept away by Ibiza’s unsurpassed atmosphere for the first time. The White Isle experience leads him to start working on more dancefloor oriented, techno influenced sound.
Visiting Chicago and NY underground clubs enforced his love for funky tech grooves.
Finally, during his 8 months trip throughout Himalayas and India's mainland his innervision became heavily influenced by  transcendent vibrations of the sacred places visited. The significant impact of Goa’s Psy atmosphere eventually went on to form Leo's current signature sound, demonstrating his contribution to the world of music.
