I play in that Frenzal Rhomb band your Dad used to hate. I used to be that guy on triple j. And now I get to ask awkward and awesome questions to people and put the results up here!

LEO is a gorgeously authentic independent artist with a powerful presence. Although based in Wollongong the indie folk singer-songwriter is currently living, working and traveling in her converted Mercedes sprinter van up and down the east coast.
With an enchanting voice and story to tell, LEO uses songwriting to take listeners on a journey through her own experiences, creating an intimate and engaging atmosphere. LEO has performed at countless venues and events including the iconic Heritage Hotel Bulli and Falls Festival Byron Bay. She has supported well known country artist Imogen Clark and founding member of The Clouds Jodi Phillis. An up and comer in the industry, LEO is now working on her debut EP which will be released November 2020.

Dreamgirl and the Motorist is a blend of dark, atmospheric pop music taking its influence from bands and filmmakers such as Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, PJ Harvey, The Smiths, Nick Cave, Anouar Brahem, David Lynch, Angelo Badalamenti, Wim Wenders and Clint Eastwood.

Dreamgirl and the Motorist is the musical alter ego of Australian composer, Carolyn Nowaczyk. Also a producer and musician, Carolyn enjoys the process of writing and recording songs in her home studio – experimenting with texture and harmonics through layered jangly guitars, pianos, distorted soundscapes and vocals to create her blend of atmospheric, dark pop that invokes thought and emotion.

A completely self-taught musician, composer and producer, Carolyn plays all instruments on all of her recordings and sings all harmonies. She has recorded 2 albums and written over 100 songs.

She has recently studied filmmaking and enjoys composing for the screen, having composed for the short films Drowning Not Waving, The None’s Pool and the short documentary Abandoned.
