After years of exploring the house scene as part of the crowd, the swift transformation from music junkie into a professional player in the game of electronic dance music seemed imminent for Dutch DJ and producer Nick Schoonheim. With the night lights luring, the DJ decks calling and the urge to  create his own sounds growing rapidly, he adapted the Nick Artic moniker and set out on a mission.

This rookie is more than ready to storm the world and conquer it bit by bit – one beat at a time. It’s up to you to listen.

Enraptured by the euphoria that house music brings, captured by the enraging drop and  overwhelmed by the driving, warm melodies of progressive, it was clear what musical direction Nick Artic would head for. After a good friend taught him the basics of DJ’ing and producing, Nick locked himself up for a YouTube tutorial marathon, sharpening his skills and learning the ropes of dance music. After years of training, he now looks back on three white label Nick Artic releases, from his Justin Prime supported remix of ‘KSHMR – Jammu’ and his energetic take on ‘Oliver Heldens & Shalin Frank – Shades of Grey’ to his very first original, ‘On Top Of The World’. The latter was supported by Club Banditz and got featured on EDMLead.com. 

With his own studio works, the rising talent wants to provide his listeners a sanctuary, offer them a moment to forget all their worries and move them, the same way it has ever moved him. 

With a constant drive to reinvent himself and distinguish his sound, brand new studio material is coming up. If you’re looking for the next generation of prog-house players, you’ll find Nick Artic lost in the music, but even more so: on his way up.
