In between days when mobility is past, we invented games to keep the car moving.

Sometimes we are a band, more often we are apart.

好運的話，路上會遇見熟悉的臉，暫時靠在同一台貨車後座看模糊的風景。

Tjoe is a Hong Kong top musician. This Musicians Institute alumnus is a favoured sideman in the Pop scene, a talented Jazz & Blues guitarist, a proficient arranger and composer. Currently the official artist of Melancon, Tjoe is recognised by his creative approach, powerful soloing, unique improvisation and a splash of humour on stage. In 2015-2016, Tjoe moved to London to expand his musical territory. He could often be found plying his trade at top venues like Ronnie Scott’s and Southbank Centre. Prior to and orange, he has released an EP FLOW in mid 2014 and another EP FLOW LONDON in early 2016.

Combine a pinch of joke, 6 fat tablespoons of irony, 9 cups of fantasy, and a few drops of reality (trust us, a few drops of this is potent or it’ll end up too rancid to taste) on a cold table. Preheat furnace. Fold the mustang juice in then give the mix a tight, hard and rhythmic whip. Pour in an equal part of sweat (preferably a human blend) then bash everything together with four strings to form cutthroat peaks. Display a wide array of vocal and/or physical abilities to ferment the batter (for instance, spoon feed a plastic baby while crying for the batter). Fermentation is complete once it starts bubbling vigorously. Drop it into the burning pit and let it bathe in madhouse temperature until it is on the brink of explosion. Glaze it with sparkles and slime.

Born in Hong Kong, Hong started learning the bass at the age of 16 and began to play rock music two years later. At 23, he shifted his musical focus onto pop and jazz. His skillful sounds are heard in recordings of many Canto-pop singers, like Miriam Yeung, Twins, Gigi Leung, Sally Yeh, Candy Lo, Faye Wong, Andy Hui, Alan Tam, Hacken Lee, Eason Chan, Karen Mok,and many more. His music career reached a new height with his touring with Asian pop diva Faye Wong from 2004 to 2006. He also wrote the film score for the award-winning Cantonese movie “Sum Sze Sze” in the 90s. 

Also an acclaimed jazz musician, Hong has made his mark in the local and international jazz scene.  His name can be found in many local and international jazz festivals and  gigs like the Krakow Art Festival (Poland) 2001, Seoul Fringe Festival 2005, gigs in Shanghai and Tsing Tao in 2005 (with jazz band "JR"), Hong Kong Jazz Festival 2005, Vietnam Cultural Festival 2006 and Bangkok International Jazz Festival 2006 (both with Tamaya Honda and Hong Kong's jazz legends Eugene Pao and Ted Lo). In 2008, Hong was  invited to be the special guest performer in critically-acclaimed Taiwanese jazz band Sizhukong's Hong Kong concert. His success brought on a fruitful year in 2009 where Hong hosted popular jazz program "Jazzing Up" at Radio Television Hong Kong, was featured in the Hong Kong International Jazz Festival, the World Music Festival (Guangzhou, China), the Taichung Jazz Festival (Taiwan), and the Sri Lanka Jazz Festival. Hong will feature in Sri Lanka Jazz fest 2010 and The Expo Shanghai with Eugene Pao,Ted Lo,Andrew Gander and Paulo Levi in October 2010.
