This is a very special 2-hour takeover of Spin City by @soulserviceatl with co-founder and Atlanta-based DJ/Producer @soundslikeralo and guest/collaborator @delfonic at the helm.

Soul Service started out as an Atlanta club night hosting the likes of Toribio, Captain Planet, Nickodemus, Spin City favorites, Hotmood and Fran Deeper--all in their Atlanta debuts. Last year, they launched a record label under the same name with the first vinyl release by Italian DJ/producer, Gledd. Their next release "Soul Service Reworks," by German DJ/Producer, Delfonic drops on November 25th on Juno Records.

Roberta Flack was and still is one of the most iconic performers of all time. Everything that she touched was pure magic. Many of her songs are part of my life's soundtrack, including this one! From the '80s movie soundtrack, Bustin' Loose, this track was a minor hit when released, but became an underground dance classic. Why an official remix was never done is beyond me, but here's Underdog Edits to the rescue! Only subtle adjustments were made with some nice '80s dub elements to boot. Enjoy this exclusive from the Underdog Edits archives. And.... rest in power, to our beloved soul queen, Roberta Flack. Your music will live forever! One Love!

Here's another one of my personal edits that I've never planned on releasing in the Underdog vinyl series. This is more of a DJ tool that I love to throw into a set as a surprise, for those who know!
The Music Box was one of my musical sanctuaries, growing up as a Chicago club kid. And Ron Hardy held court every Saturday night! It's interesting that he's looked upon as a DJ deity today (as he should!), but to experience him live was something that you can't describe.... and never forget!
Breaking new sounds was his thing. During those early years of musical experiments that would later form the foundation of what we know today as House Music, he introduced his "children" to sounds of Europe. Records that you would never think that would be played in a black gay dance club in Chicago!
Liaisons Dangereuses was one of those sounds that caught people by surprise! Of course, Los Niños Del Parque is their signature song that cemented their place in dance music history, but this song has always put me in another head space.
Ron played this often over a drum track, most notably Faces Drums (a very rare early electronic breakbeat album, if you can find it, cop it!) and it would send the crowd in a tizzy!
This rework recreates that and is my tribute to the one of the dance clubs that mole me and the legendary DJ that I'm still learning from.
