Music... can you imagine a world without it?

From an early age, music in its many forms has been an integral part of JbAsh’s life. His harmonious relationship with this audible art form truly began when he started learning classical piano at the age of 6, and since then, his love for music has spanned various genres. With a truly eclectic taste, JbAsh (a.k.a. Jon Ashley, or Jb/Jonboy to his friends) is as happy chilling out to contemporary classical and ambient music as he is partying to house music. Indie/Rock was prominent during his formative teenage years, but it was at university where he truly discovered the vast world of electronic and dance music - particularly house, trance, breakbeat, and D&B. Coupling these contemporary styles with his classical background, he developed a particular penchant for artists, groups, and DJs that combined them, which heavily inspired his early production experiments in the late 2000s after earning his Batchelor of Science degree.

After an eight-year hiatus to start a family and advance his 'proper' career - where he is now a world-class designer for major global events, with a vast portfolio including the London 2012, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024 Olympic Games - Jon has picked up the production reins again. The COVID pandemic wasn't a great time for many, but for him, it was something of a godsend. During this period, he discovered deep house music, and while music has always been his passion, deep house has become his current love, with tracks from labels such as Anjunadeep dominating his listening time. The soundscapes created by his favorite current artists have been truly inspirational, to the point where he felt saddened that he ever stopped producing in the first place. With a refreshed set of hardware and software, it's now full steam ahead and back into the DAW!
