May 2014 Connaisseur Recordings released Of Norway's debut album “Accretion“, a musical journey which showcased the Norwegian duo's creativity and ability to create music on the border between songwriting and club music. A remix EP has now come out for the superior track "Spirit Lights". 

Italy's up and coming Lehar created for the flip side such a mystical and alluring interpretation of the original, that it quickly ended up as a regular in the sets of Mano Le Tough and Adriatique, just to name a few.

Spirit Lights Remixes will be released on Connaisseur Recordings via Beatport and on vinyl March 16th. iTunes and all other stores will follow March 30th.

The Maghreban has been making some noise with his latest release on Versatile 'Wonder Woman'. Rather than continuing along that Disco-ish path, he changes tack as he returns to Zoot with 3 tunes influenced by (but not identical to) different times from his teens.

'Now Easy' is informed by those c. '93 dark jungle 12s he knew and loved. The Dark Stranger. Don Bad Man. Presha III. The Capsule EP. The video is a tribute to those and other records. 'Not Good' is an innocent mess about with a Korg M1. 'Hi Top' is reminiscent of Kid 'n Play formation dancing. Outlaw Posse. Caveman.

Informa Records comes with the 8th release of the series, Symbiosis EP by Deepbass (Edit Select, Dynamic Reflection) & Reggy Van Oers (Affin, Several Reasons).

The release consists of two original tracks, 

A side “Deepbass – Symbiont” is an ever evolving progression that lures you from the outset growing continuously before reaching a climatic peak staying within the hypnosis throughout.

B side “Reggy Van Oers – Tunnel Dweller” is a darker affair which focuses on the purity of each individual element within the track. With a sinister constant flow, seductive escalating atmosphere and subtle creative effects.
The tracks complement each other nicely while showcasing the signature sounds of each artist.

This is an excerpt from Viands - Temporal Relic LP (MW-003), released on October 30th, 2015. The full tracks are much longer. This is designed to give the listener an taste of the journey they will embark on when listening to this album.

Viands is a spontaneous collaboration between two auteurs of Detroit's underground music scene: Joel Peterson and David Shettler (Moon Pool and Dead Band). Temporal Relics, their debut album, is a deep,reflective and fearless alternate-reality keyboard meditation that draws on the pair’s broad musical vision to explore new vistas. Temporal Relic #1 & #2 are carved out of the same continuous 40-minute session that marked the first time the pair sat down together and "just hit record." Temporal Relics is a vast, expansive and moody inner-journey of epic proportion.

After a string of sell-out releases, Bristol badman, Boofy, warms the coals on his Sector7Sounds label with a new slab of wax.

Tenacious sino-grime is the name of the game once more, this time courtesy of Bandulu's Hi5Ghost and "Nook Shot". The original is all glottal bass growls, Oriental flute/pan pipe embellishment and Eski drum jabs; all warring for ascendency on what is a stark, yet hard-hitting 140bpm dub. Commodo's facelift is similarly Far East-facing, but has more of a hood mentality; murkier and sprinkled with Riko Dan-esque, spitfire Jamaican vocal blurts. Both are equally Debuts-worthy, but its the latter that rattles the chest a little harder.

Strictly vinyl business, and only 500 hand-stamped ones at that. Be sure to keep the eyes peeled for a release date.

Hi5Ghost "Nook Shot (Commodo Remix)" - Boiler Room Debuts

Earlier this year we released a Free Samplepack by Flint Kids that accompanied his “Sancerre” EP.

Followed by a great deal of positive feedback, we decided to hold a contest: entrants were to simply make a track from the sounds in the pack + a handful of their own, but no more. Best tracks were to be released on a compilation but we received so many high quality tracks that we had no other choice but to make two compilations.

The result of this experiment are these two V/A’s entitled Field Emitter (18 tracks) & Antibody (10 tracks).
