London based  producer @darkai joins the label with their track "The Tempest"  which transports us to an earthy realm of dubstep with a composition of lush layers.

The album is mythical and explorative with dense elemental motifs that elevate the fundamentals of dubstep whilst pulling listeners into the understated fluidity of sound that makes Cimmerian Records distinctive. This new wave washes listeners in deep bass, leaving little room to come up for air before surrendering to the safe, seductive sound that laces the foundations of our label. This compilation is a beautiful portrayal of the intricate power of a story told by many voices.

CR024 is here to join the Cimmerian catalogue with something special.
Flora.noise & Hippoflip have joined forces from across the seas to create a very special and unique EP that will take you on a sonic journey through the corridors of your mind, as well as the dance floor.

Shaking up the meta of 140 for the entirety of the EP we are introduced with the first track ‘Four Twenty Six’ which leads you in with the ominous soundscapes and keeps you locked with fine drum work, a true essence of funk, and a driving bass line. Furthermore, we have ‘Trade Route’ the title track of the EP. The quick movement coupled with speed breaks will have you edging until it breaks to a classic head nod motif which sets up perfectly for the third track. ‘Port Wobble’ a style switch as you’ll hear that is encompassed by fat dubby wobbles and changing rhythmic patterns throughout. Last but not least we conclude with the global bass track ‘voyagers’ a high traffic percussive banger that will tickle your systems in and out.

For the first time ever alongside our digital release we are doing a limited lathe cut run of 30 units. Clear smokey 10" discs, hand stamped and numbered. Everyone who buys the physical copy will receive the digis early.

"Starting 2020 off with a bang we welcome back a familiar face with his 5th appearance on the label, making longtime friend Imanzi the most featured artist on Simply Deep. SD022 also sees the addition of Kontent & Pharma to the label, both established artists in their own right.

The title track 'Fidget Dub' by Imanzi & Kontent has been a staple in Simply Deep sets for the latter half of 2019, finding a home in 100% of our radio shows and mixes. With heavy Grime & Dubstep influences this track would find a home in most 140 sets!

The second track 'Only Hope' is a solo track from the 140 wizard Imanzi. Using more of a sub-low approach and rolling percussion on this one, Imanzi still provides enough dynamism to shake your ribcage through any Sound System.

Austria based artist Pharma steps up with a massive remix of 'Fidget Dub'. He takes more of a melodic route with his remix, rearranging the percussion & bass stems whilst adding his own flute patterns for a moodier take on the original.
